"My first advice is what he hasnt done, which is say nothing until you sit down with your lawyers and with the people who know the facts," Gingrich said. "You thoroughly and completely understand them and you go through a period where everybody asks you in your team every possible negative question so you thoroughly understand what will happen."
Gingrich said Cain is going through "a rough patch" and whether or not Cain survives Gingrich said he is ready to eclipse Cain.
"We just had the two best days," Gingrich said. "We raised more money Monday than we ever had before and we raised more money Tuesday. Those two days we raised 50 percent more than we raised in July."

The good news here is that the money seems to be flowing into Gingrich's campaign now. It is looking more and more like it could come fdown to Newt vs. Romney..... so the Newt haters here are going to have a tough decision. Could the people who continuously post the picture of Newt and Nancy on the couch eventually be reduced to putting their tails between their legs and voting for Newt?? It's gonna happen.
I’ve been impressed with Newt’s performance at the debates. He was the only one who said they should focus on Obama’s failed policies rather than attacking one another. He gets it, the others are starting to really irritate me.
For me it would be Newt over Romney. However I am still 100% behind Cain.
Newt is getting ahead of himself.
Until Cain’s poll numbers come down and his fundraising drops off there is only so far Newt can rise.
Newt smells blood in the water.

Actually, most of Newt’s comments since this broke have been supportive of Cain. (which is smart and honorable on Newt’s part).
This is not bad advice, and I don’t see a dorsal fin in it.
Newt could assuage people’s fears really easily if he wanted.
He could volunteer to a round of polygraph questioning, answer a few tough questions from conservatives, and put the whole thing to bed in two hours.
Cain needs to take Newts advice on this, his campaign appears to be struggling with this issue.
I can’t remember which episode....but Newt was interviewed on Hannity’s radio show and he spoke very highly of Cain. (I was in the car line at school when I heard it.)
It was almost as if he was giving support of him. (At least, that was MY take.)
Which begs me to question.......why are Newt and Cain going to debate?

To raise money, and probably put the fear of God into Obama. The format will be AWESOME.
If Newt was the nominee it would be a treat to watch him chew up and spit out Obama in a debate.
I agree. It's also the voice of experience!
I see Newt learned something from the time a few months ago when his whole team quit on him.
Did Newt consult with his team before he went on the campaign trail for Dede Scozzafava? Maybe they advised him that it would be a good way for Newt to get back into favor with Steele and the RNC?
PING!
Well, there is blood in the water.
Newt is giving good advise and showing good sportsmanship. Newt isn’t trying to hurt Cain, it is the others that are reaching down to that level.
When the dust settles, I think Newt and Cain would make a good team.
Newt explaining how a politician would handle this.
The thing that folks like about HC is that he is NOT and does not act like a politician. Just a man.
Well....all I can say is ‘fingers crossed’.
