We were wrong about Herman Cain and sexual harassment
http://www.washingtonpost.com ^ | 11/4/2011 | By Alexandra Petri

Maybe we were reading these sexual harassment allegations wrong.

They don’t seem to have hurt Cain at all. If anything, they’ve made him stronger. A Washington Post-ABC Poll found him still nearly tied with Romney in the polls — even after the allegations made news!

The Monday after they surfaced was a banner day for fundraising Cain. More than a million dollars of donations reportedly poured in. Maybe the Rick Perry staffer who so cleverly traveled back to the past to seed these allegations more than a decade ago should have thought harder. So far, they seem to be having the opposite of their expected effect.

“We were worried that ‘sexual harassment’ might be going too far,” someone murmurs in a bunker. “It’s a touchy subject. It’s not as clear-cut as an affair. It’s like pornography — you know it when you see it, and you try to keep it out of the office. But it turns out people enjoy a salacious sideline to their daily barrage of 2012 news.”

Oklahoma pollster confirms he witnessed incident involving Cain
Posted by
WRONG.

CNN Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger

Washington (CNN) - Oklahoma Republican political consultant Chris Wilson confirmed to CNN that he witnessed Herman Cain demonstrate inappropriate conduct toward a female employee while he led the National Restaurant Association. Wilson first made this charge Wednesday in an interview with KTOK, an Oklahoma radio station.

You are talking about Curt Anderson, who worked on Cain’s 2004 campaign and now works on Perry’s campaign.

I don’t know if this thing started with any of Perry’s people. Rigth now I’m treating this like an old Sherlock Holmes mystery, everyone’s a suspect.

Yep. My problem is even if he did everything that is alleged what exactly did he do? The inside the belt way crowd pronounced him dead and tried to make it more about the way he handled things than about whether the alleged facts were even facts.

“He is not fictional, here is his statement”

He might as well have said I’m a little Roven Teacup short and stout...his statement is jiggly jello, only fit for toothless cartoons...no substance.

In 2003 I believed differently. That’s just me I guess.

This author is ridiculing Repubs.

“This is another way of saying “Have we told you lately that we have no idea what to do about the economy?” But it sounds about as good as 9-9-9 — which happens to be the time-stamp on the harassment settlement! Maybe Cain was prescient. Whatever happened, happened for America. After all, that was why Newt Gingrich had his sex scandal — because he loved his country so much! “

That was the funny quote all right, of how somehow Perry sent someone back in time to make the women file false charges against Cain back in the 1990s, so they could reveal it now.

Of course, that was sarcasm in the article, so maybe you didn’t understand it.

Even Block has now abandoned the false charges against the Perry camp. Not that they EVER accused Wilson like you keep doing — they were falsely targeting Curt Anderson.

I guess no matter how many people explain to you that Wilson did NOT leak the story to politico, and that even the Cain camp has refused to claim he was behind the leak, you’ll still push it simply because the NRA pollster talked about it when asked.

If you didn’t lie about him being the source, we’d all be agreeing with you that the guy is a sleeze. But there’s no point in agreeing with someone who is pushing a false story.

Read real slow, you need to get over this bs, that only you know the facts. Washington post just said it came from a perry staffer. Wilson said he was there, he said he knew the facts, he said he was working for the NRA at the time. He said this would end Cain, where is wilson today???

You just repeated what I said. What you didn’t say was anything that shows Wilson was the one who leaked the story.

Wilson was happy to talk about it — but he also said he was not the person who spoke with Politico.

The washington post just made a joke at your expense, talking about how a Perry staffer travelled back in time to convince the women to file harrassment claims. That you think this is confirmation of your theory is laughable.

You do know that “Terminator” isn’t a documentary, right?

Yeah, he is up the polls. He is such heartthrob, especially when he sings with that baritone voice; he sure gets the ladies in a tizzy that even Tom Jones envies. I tell ya, when the Cainster sings the ladies get so excited they send their souvenirs flying. Eat your heart out, Tom!

Wilson talked about it when ask, man he went to the interview, and just how would the guy know to ask him about Cain, and how would he have known that wilson knew anything about the story. Wilson set the whole interview up. http://www.ktok.com/cc-common/news/sections/newsarticle.html?feed=119211&article=9339922#ixzz1cZBc3hzY

Hadn't listened to that dirtbag, Hannity in ages but caught his interview with Gingrich today. Both of them were praising Rove. All we need to know about Newty.
