The Worst of All Possible Presidents

Let’s just stick to skills. Let’s not talk about how bad his policies are.

Because I can’t think of a person who is less suited and less interested in being president of the United States than Barack Obama is.

I’m reminded of this as I see Europe drift from debt to crisis to dissolution.

“Events in Greece over the past 24 hours have underscored the importance of implementing the plan, fully and as quickly as possible,” said the US president according to Euronews.

I didn’t understand that there was a real plan for the Greek debt crisis. If there is one, certainly Obama has nothing to do with it.

People like to pretend at times that who our president is doesn’t matter. They say presidents get either too much blame or too much credit. Can’t say much about the credit part, but it’s not possible to blame Obama enough for the poor state of the United States and the lack of leadership and confidence the United States engenders around the world today.

In our economy, our relations with other powers, our reputation around the globe, we’ve become a laughingstock under Obama. “Hope and Change” has become a hackneyed punch line of lost chances, hopes destroyed and dreams knowingly betrayed by golf vacations.

Obama has offered us nothing but our blood, our toil, our tears and our sweat; and for what?

So public employees can continue to bust public budgets on Cadillac benefits that you and I can’t afford. All this while he pushes austerity down the throats of a sovereign Greece.

I’m tired of Obama’s “leading from behind.” That’s not leading, that’s pushing

Don’t think for one minute that Obama would accept for his union friends the type of cuts he says he favors for Greece.

We’ve gone from each according to his means to each according to his union. We’ve gone from a post-partisan, post-racial America, to all partisan, all the time.

The president of the United States once, not long ago, stood up to Communism when they tried to take over South Korea- in this, he was sustained by the whole world. Today we’re left with the president being lectured to by Chinese Communists regarding reckless spending; and after being lectured to by Chinese Communists, in return, all Obama can offer to Europe is lectures about their own profligate ways.

It’s inconceivable that a Reagan or a Kennedy would let things drift with a world in crisis. A Reagan or a Kennedy would have acted, if only in a moral sense. Both George Bushes had enough sense for that.

"I am confident that Europe has the capacity to meet this challenge. I know it isn't easy, but what is absolutely critical, and what the world looks for in moments such as this, is action," said Obama after a G20 meeting on Europe’s debt crisis, according to the Wall Street Journal.

But don’t look for action from Obama. If he could attack Greece with a covert drone missile strike, he’d probably do so in order to avoid having to exercise real leadership.

He’s been the "drone" president on fiscal issues here in the US too, having dinner with his family and getting a hair cut while his aides bickered about bailouts.

There was a day when the US could help exercise some leadership on the European stage. But if Obama’s interested in the European debt issue, then that’s news to me, German chancellor Angela Merkel, French president Sarkozy, members of the G20, fans of All My Children or anyone with electricity.

Obama has become the absentee landlord of the world, not presiding over the budget; abstaining from the debt ceiling; absent from Europe during the debt crisis; issuing a bull against a tsunami as enjoyed his own National Lampoon’s Brazilian Vacation.

If I were Greek, I’d be worried about the missile strike.

You are probably correct. But why do the Democrats want this? Why do they want control over every aspect of our lives? I can’r wrap my mind around that kind of orderly evil.

To paraphrase Kissinger, power is the strongest aphrodisiac. The Democrats believe that they will control the decisions, and that appeals to their pride and vanity.

It is the very nature of socialism.

Within every socialist, there lives a totalitarian. They know best. And they instinctively understand that people will automatically resist their efforts to plan, organize and control society -- so as to achieve their socialist utopia.

We resist because we automatically recognize the socialist's plan is an infringement on our liberty -- we won't go along willingly.

Thus, it is necessary for socialists to have the power to compel us to go along unwillingly.

Socialism and tyranny go hand in hand. It is the very nature o things.

There’s no reason not to say “Both”.

You are correct to use the word tyranny. Socialism sounds so social and friendly, doesn’t it? We need to use the words tyranny and tyrant more often, when we talk about the daily encroachment on our liberties.

You are correct to use the word tyranny.

It is the nature of socialism to devolve into tyranny -- if it doesn't start that way.

How many times has socialism simply been the excuse for a brutal dictatorship? Do Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro...Vladimir Lenin ring a bell? The supporting philosophy, after all, refers to the first "post-revolutionary" stage as "the dictatorship of the proletariat". But, somehow, the state never "withers away".

The simple fact of the matter is that people don't want to behave the way socialists demand they behave. Therefore, "for their own good", it is necessary for the state -- and its enabling officials -- to employ coercion to achieve the outcome they desire.

My little sis, a social worker, claims she is a socialist (she isn't, not really). But she instinctively considers herself the arbiter of what is right and wrong in other people's behavior -- she willingly runs the lives of others (her clients). And would love to punish "the rich". Just because...

Like I said, a socialist is a natural totalitarian.

Squatters were legalized in the Pre-Emption Act of 1840; so Obama remains the choice of tens of millions seeking “help” from the government even if they know nothing of his real persona.

Yes, and the man who helped mold this false stereotype for the uninformed was John Sidney McCain, III, another reason AZ has failed America repeatedly.

Good point, but socialists don’t know they are totalitarians.

Of course not. All they want, after all, is what's best for us.

Certainly, that applies to the rank and file of socialism -- the "useful idiots".

But the people who lead the movement know damn good and well what they're really after is power! And to hell with what's best for us -- it's what's in it for them.

Their object is to become totalitarians.

Such articles discount that Obama was hand-picked by Soros and installed by SEIU, & etc., to carry out Soros’s plan to implement socialism in America. Beyond that, Soros’s foreign policy plan for Obama to carry out is to weaken the US internationally. All of Obama’s actions are consistent with this mandate from Soros to weaken the US.

Why is this a big mystery to so many who want to pretend that Obama is incompetent or absentee? He is neither. Obama has been 100% effective in implementing Soro’s dual plan to implement US socialism and weaken the US abroad. Look at the new Super-committee. The goal is to emasculate the military when no agreement is reached.

Fortunately, Obama is a one-term wonder who will be tossed out in 2013 and the GOP will control the Senate. With both houses of Congress, the new GOP president can:

- overturn Obamacare
- open drilling in ANWR and off the US coasts
- begin oil shale extraction in earnest
- slash EPA funding
- slash funding for the FDA
- eliminate the Department of Education
- reform Social Security and Medicare
- reform the tax code
- eliminate ethanol subsidies

None of this will happen because I fear Romney or other RINO is going to be our next president. There is no heavyweight conservative among the current candidates and it is too late for one to enter candidacy. Romney or Perry will be our next president. Romney is an unabashed RINO, and I’m not sure about Perry in any event. He is conservative like Baby Bush was conservative, and you see how baby bush spent and grew government with TSA, prescription drugs, subsidies, wars, etc.

We’re fooked. Just slower than Obama.

If a MIRACLE occurs and we get a Reagan Conservative, with both houses of congress, they could set the Socialist movement back 30 years at least. Back to about Roe v. Wade, I suspect (because abortion will not soon be banned in the USA, sadly, if ever).

Neither. He is implementing Soros’s plan perfectly. I don’t know who Soros works for, but Obama works for Soros and is doing what Clinton was told to do but failed. Obama has just succeeded at it, well, while he had a Pelosi-lead Congress. Since losing the Congress, he hasn’t had any power beyond Executive Orders. That is why he is getting frustrated. He probably is too arrogant to know he is a one-term wonder, but he is very frustrated that the GOP Congress has stymied his plans. He got spoiled there when Pelosi and Reed just rubber-stamped his agenda.

My, how quickly the evil of the Clinton adminstration is forgotten. What would China be without Clinton giving them our military & industrial secrets? How would the UN have gotten all their heritage sites. Many natural resources were blocked by Clinton declaring them environmentally sensitive areas or parks.

Carter, CLINTON, and Obama. Yes, Obama has been wildly successful and accomplished far more because he had 2 years with Pelosi and Reed to rubber stamp his agenda, such as Obamacare. Even then they had to pretend they didn’t need a 2/3 majority and the spineless GOP let them get away with it.

Hand-picked by Soros who bought him the White House. This is common knowledge.
