Actual examples cited are two Republicans, one of which is Darrell Issa. A subtle or not so subtle slam? I suppose in an ideal world, government funding scandals should only be investigated by poor people, but we got what we got.

And the only ones the article mentions by names are Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas)and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Ca).

Now what are the chances of them just randomly picking two Republicans to name. one being the man going after Obama on his ethics?

Gee, how interesting.

They are #1 & #2. Of course 7 of the top 10 are Democrats but that doesn’t leave the impression this piece wants to leave...

Is it any wonder that they don’t improve economic policy? It’s been a great economy for them.

Of the top ten... seven are DemocRATS--

So why is their not... an Occupy (3) John Kerry, (4) Jay Rockefeller, (5) Mark Warner, (6) Jared Polis, (7) Frank Lautenberg, (8) Richard Blumenthal, (9) Dianne Feinstein and throw in Number 13, Nancy Pelosi, whose worth is $35,200,000 not counting her hubby's big bucks from deals she guided congress to steer his way?

Having money is NOT a sin.

Stealing other people’s money (aka government taxation or redistribution of wealth) IS!

Billionaire business mogul Penny Pritzker is a member of one of America’s richest families and was the Finance Chair for the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.  It was Pritzker that led the prolific, and illegal, fundraising that helped power Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.  She was the chair of Chicago-based Superior Bank’s board for five years.

Pritzker was into subprime lending before it became all the rage starting in around 2000.  Prtizker's chairmanship was to concentrate on sub prime lending, principally on home mortgages, but for a while in subprime auto lending, too, after the Pritzkers' bank acquired its wholesale mortgage organization division, Alliance Funding, in December 1992.

Back then they called it "predatory lending."

Superior Bank went belly up in 2001 with over $1 billion in insured and uninsured deposits; 1,406 depositors lost much of their life savings.  This collapse came amid harsh criticism of how Superior’s owners promoted sub-prime home mortgages.

On Nov. 1 [2002] the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. pointed the finger at Ernst & Young, Superior’s auditor, in a fraud suit filed in federal court here.  But that action came two months after a group of Superior depositors accused the bank’s owners and directors, including two members of the Pritzker family, of racketeering....

...Pritzker is chairman of Classic Residence by Hyatt, luxury senior living communities in 11 states; chairman of The Parking Spot, which owns and operates off-airport parking facilities in nine cities; chairman of the credit data company TransUnion and chairman of Pritzker Realty.  She also sits on the board of Global Hyatt and plays a role in numerous non-profit groups, including serving as chairman of the Olympic village portion of Chicago’s bid to win the 2016 Summer Games.

One has to understand, when holding elected office one must conform to the “one hand washes the other” rule to ever get ahead. “Scratch my back and I will scratch yours” is the credo of ALL politicians.

Congress is filled by crooks and criminals sponging off the backs of hard working law abiding and moral Americans while ensuring their own wealth (either in office or after office) through tools they use such as COMPROMISE and POLITICAL CORRECTNESS to appease those who funnel money and power into their corners as payment.

It’s interesting that a congresscritter can enter congress poor as a church mouse and leave a multi-millionnaire. That’s exactly what my putrid liberal congresscritter did. Now he’s escaped the state and is living on millionnaire’s row in Florida.

I may have missed it, but I haven’t seen any questions to the candidates on how they would handle lobbyists. I think this should be addressed.
