I am not impacted by this as I see it. I know a lot of your area is very effected. Is your place inside the FERC zone?

So, it sounds as if they have been doing fine for at least 30 years, producing electric power and enjoying the lake, but now that the hydroelectric company has had to apply for permission to continue doing what it’s been doing for the past 30 years, the government is moving the goal posts.

This is known as making law ex post facto. That has been considered a basic violation of justice ever since King John was forced to sign the Magna Carta. Only now it’s mostly done by regulation instead of the sword. But the sword is implied, of course.

B+sturds.

Dig down, you’ll find a tree hugging obastard acolyte at the bottom of this. Some pinhead punk know nothing radical. I hate this government with a purple passion.

A FERC spokeswoman declined to comment to The Associated Press. Previously, the agency told The Kansas City Star in a written statement that “FERC’s role is to ensure that the licensee is following the terms of the license, and approve shoreline management plans. It is the responsibility of the licensee to carry out the terms and conditions of the license, including shoreline management plan.”

Agenda 21:

(1) Return all land to its native state, except for the dachas of the ruling class.

(2) Eliminate 6.5-billion people by whatever means necessary.

"...land of the free."

I don't think so. I can pay for my home, retire and still owe a sizable yearly nut to bureaucratic totalitarians. How is that free?

Concur,..it’s Agenda 21.

I thought I had adjusted to the IBC. Now it turns out there are another 5 or so codes beyond the typical IMC, IFC, IPC, IEC, IBC, etc.

Now there also is the International Zoning Code, International Energy Code, International Performance Code, International Property Maintenance Code, and the all too ubiquitous International Wildland-Urban Interface Code.

Int’l Performance Code introduces the concept of “Intolerable Design”. IWUIC introduces to “code officials” authority to disconnect utility services without notice to either the occupant or the utility company if any of the codes are found to be violated.

What type of codes, one might ask.

Walls and fences in the front of all buildings may not exceed 3’ tall in the front and 6 ft on sides and rear. Any group of 5 or more parking spaces must have a 3.5’ wall between the parking and any street (go figure).
Home offices may not exceed 15% of bldg floor area and less than half of that space may be used for storage. Visitors must be made by appointment and no more than one at a time.

These are codes made in the US and England in a local liberal area with intentions to apply them internationally.

They are published with legalese such that a municipal government merely need assign an Ordinance Number, name of township, and date, vote on them and they are local law.

If you see them, reject them before it’s too late.

Whatever you folks do, don’t look at the corporation called Ameren that’s behind the effort to evict those residents. ...or the crooked real estate interests that sold the properties belonging to the dam project’s previous owner. Local governments and local businesses sometimes use the federal government to do their anti-competition bidding. All levels of government, including local, all political parties, and all kinds of big business: socialists, using government to steal from the little folks and prevent competition.

Try starving the beast.
