Report: Cain sought dinner date with fifth woman

A former USAID worker claims Herman Cain asked her to set up dinner with a woman who attended a speech he gave in 2002, the Washington Examiner is reporting tonight.

The worker - 40-year-old Donna Donella, of Arlington - told the paper that the moment came after Cain gave a paid speech in Egypt that year. A woman in the crowd posed a query to Cain during the speech, the Examiner said. Continue Reading

Donella told them “And after the seminar was over, Cain came over to me and a colleague and said, ‘Could you put me in touch with that lovely young lady who asked the question, so I can give her a more thorough answer over dinner?’”

She was "suspicious of Cain's motives and delined to set up the date," the Examiner reporter wrote.

That prompted Cain to reply, "Then you and I can have dinner." Instead, some of Donella's co-workers suggested a group outing.

There's 5 of 'em.

Really? I know 500 who allege that Cain wasn't even in town when the alleged crime occurred. Looks like I've got 100 people for each of your five who will contradict every word they say. So according to your weak standards of guilt, Cain wins.

Keep in mind that clearing the ballot so the worst president in American history can continue dismantling our country is a big project that has significant support. Finding 5 or a dozen or more people willing to lie is not that hard, whether for the "cause" or for more ignoble reasons. Remember the principle of the Big Lie. Lie with repetition, saturation, domination, and you too can manufacture public perception of reality. This is a dangerous moment in our history, and we must be more vigilant about basing our views on valid evidence than we have ever been. So far, there is no hard evidence, at all, that Cain did anything wrong, or even questionable. Benefit of the doubt must go to Cain.

He was in Egypt giving a speech of some kind. He wanted to have dinner with a nice English-speaking American woman. So hang him from the highest tree.

What help it would have been to biblical scholars if there had existed a “Jerusalem Times” — on the other hand maybe that’s the mercy of God that it didn’t, because there would be so much misinformation duly captured for posterity.

Disgusted with Freepers who enable libs. There will be a Pox on them and theirs. The loonies are coming out of the woodwork because they know they can. CONSERVATIVES shame on you for not stepping up to defend Palin and now Cain. You have your selves to blame when we have full on socialism reigning in this country. You are all despicable.

He was in Egypt right? So an attractive English speaking woman poses a good question, and he says to himself...SELF, why dine alone?

Unless they ARE all lying. Big Lie operations work like that. No hard evidence means a presumption of innocence must prevail.

Does anyone actually remember Mr Cain doing a speech in Egypt?

Jesus sent the disciples off to buy groceries so he could be alone at sunset at a deserted desert well with the Samaritan woman who was shacked up after having 5 husbands.

They had a very nice conversation, but the disciples were a bit shocked when they returned.

Well, I’ll tell you what, I’m voting for Cain, and no one else.

If I can’t vote for Cain, I will sit my ass at home and watch Obama get re-elected, and then I ‘ll watch him destroy this piece of sh!t country, because it damn well deserves to be destroyed.

To Hell with everyone engaged in this God damned garbage.

ah, but is your brother married? It’s generally not acceptable for married men to be asking women out to dinner, especially when they’re away from home, not to mention in Egypt!

I’m more than a little sick of all these stories about Cain, but they are building and are starting to ‘develop legs.’ The most peculiar thing to me so far is that all these women are based out of the DC area.

Another segment with Cain on Kimmel.

2 segments. He’s crushing it. I’m not on the Cain Train. But he is doing a great job here. And this new woman - well, paid by Cain?

Yeah, let’s continue to ask questions about every last thing he ever did. Could the cashier at a store say that she thought Cain might’ve been hitting on her? I’m sure Cain’s been to a store.

Again, not on Cain Train, but my opinion of him is going up, not down. I liked the smoking ad as well.

“Broderick was convincing, but it’s not proof.”

Speaking of which, anyone watch Hannity tonight? He said, in discussion with the great American panel, that he got a call today from a guy at Free Republic (couldn’t quite make out the name, sounded like Don Fromapola or Fromapoulus) who’d said he’d once contacted Allred to ask her to represent Juanita Broderick but GA either refused or didn’t respond (can’t remember which).

Anyone catch that?

Yes, I caught part of it. I was on FreeRepublic and I heard Hannity mention “ from FreeRepublic called me” and I was shocked.

For all that this website has done and does in conservative politics, we get like zero exposure.

I was in shock, so I didn’t hear the context. I could not believe Hannity mentioned the words,I was taken aback.

I’d bet a million dollars that’s not at all what she really thinks. You might want to think though. Marriages that have lasted longer than that, can end just as easily. I hope you’ve already gone through your midlife crisis for her sake. My husband was a womanizer like that. After decades of marriage, I finally got sick of it and left. He thought it was innocent adolescent behavior as well. The fact that he didn’t know it pissed me off and was embarrassing just shows how stupid men like that are. If Cain is one of those men, and I’m not sure he is yet, he just lost my vote.
