Now that I think about it I seem to recall a story not too long about about a discovery that showed why some people with HIV have a natural immunity to AIDS. I’ll have to look it up.

“His courage that day, along with two subsequent decades of vibrant living, forever altered attitudes about the virus and its effects.”
What a bunch of BS. Real courage that day would have been to have described the lifestyle where he acquired the virus. Unlike poor Arthur Ashe, Johnson wasn’t an innocent victim.

I remember hearing about a professor who was fairly prominent in his specialty as having AIDS—he died in 2004 at the age of 68, at least 17 years after I heard the rumor. I never met him in person, just heard about him.

I remember reading something over a decade ago that said he was taking something that made it so the aids was at undetectable levels. I don’t know how true that was though.

It’s true, because medical verification involved the doctor taking blood samples from the recipient and the donor, and verifying the strain is the same. It requires proof, unlike the claims to have gotten it from a toilet seat, doorknob, or girlfriend.

Also, if the man is “unhealthy” (has open sores) then all bets are off.

Perhaps Duesberg was right.

I suspect he was, but I don't want to open up that can of worms.

That makes no sense at all.

I was once in an Episcopal congregation with a rather nice priest. He lived in a house across from the church...with his mother.

After I left that church, I heard that his mother died, and then I heard he’d moved.

It wasn’t until about 10 years later that heard where he’d moved to...San Francisco. I was also informed that he’d died...of AIDS.

Looking back and knowing what I know now...he made it really hard for anyone to guess he was a homosexual. He never flaunted it. His mannerisms didn’t scream “gay”, and I never heard a whisper from anyone in the congregation in criticism or suspicion.

While female-to-male transmission is rare, it is a possibility and has been documented. Many factors figure into its prominence in the gay male community but it is not confined to gay males, intravenous drug users, or deviant sexual behaviors. Healthy males and females do act as agents of transmission to one another. One reason why so few cases of female to male transmission are documented is because it is in fact simpler to prevent transmission of the disease from a known infected female to her partner, when proper precautions are taken.

I don’t give a dang about Majic Johnson. But I have to be fair:

He does not have AIDs. He is HIV positive which will turn into AIDs if not monitored (treated). When it turns into AIDs, it is death.

I have a loverly kitty cat who is HIV possive. She has had it for ten years. My vet and I are on top of this so it does not turn into AIDs.

By the way, one cannot become HIV possives from your pets.

We agree overall, but there has never been a documented case of female to male transmission in the manner I describe. That should be easy to disprove, because it would have made headlines.

I’m relying on medical reports from more than a few years ago, but doubt anything has changed.

Note that there was one case of a guy with bleeding gums who liked performing oral sex on prostitutes, and that was confirmed to have infected him. But that’s not exactly a “healthy” male.

Most people are pretty surprised when they learn this, due to all the MSM propaganda trying to hide the truth about AIDS needing us all to feel at risk, when it’s an anal/needle transmitted disease, at least among otherwise healthy people.

For this reason, I like to say that the cure for AIDS in Africa is penicillin. That would cure the ordinary genital sores that are providing the avenue for HIV transmission. heal them, and AIDS halts.

Maybe he wasn’t really HIV positive in the first place. Are there any other reports of men who get infected with HIV and (i) become physically stronger and (ii) show no signs of AIDS 20 years later?

And how did Magic and his wife (Earletha, aka “Cookie”) have a biological son over a year after he was diagnosed with HIV? Did they have unprotected sex after they both knew that he was HIV positive? Or was it an IVF (with the doctors making sure to implant an embryo that was HIV negative)? This is even stranger than the fact that Magic has LeBron James’s body (well, with a bit more fat) 20 years after being diagnosed with HIV.

The AIDS community does its best to not let this fact become known by the general public...

there is a percentage of people that are completely immune to the HIV virus. I’m going by memory here so I will get some of the details wrong. I read this 15 years or more ago in a medical journal in a university library...by accident. this journal was left on a table and I sat down to do some studying and started flipping through the pages while taking a break and found an article about AIDS research.

The people immune to HIV have genes that are from southern europe, IIRC. something like 12% of europe is totally immune to HIV and another 25% of europe have a partial immunity meaning that they can get the virus but it is not likely they will develop AIDS or that it takes decades for it to develop. This apparent natural immunity is the basis of the african american community theory that AIDS was invented by white people to exterminate blacks. The immunity prevalence in asia and sub sahara africa is essentially zero. The immunity prevalence among caucasian americans was something like half the rate of europeans living in europe. The immunity prevalence among african americans was very small like 2% but this is higher than the 0% rate in black africans.

Its possible magic johnson has a genetic resistance to HIV.

IF the knowledge of HIV immunity became openly discussed and widely known two things would happen...people would be less likely to practice safe sex...people would be less likely to favor extravagant funding of AIDS research. tHis is my opinion why they are keeping us in the dark. They probably also do not want to discuss racial differences.
