Yes, I know it is just an internet ranking site which doesn't hold much weight, but still, fun little information on how they see FR.

By the way, have you donated to the FReepathon yet?

Jim Rob and the FReepers should be very proud of what has been accomplished, one click and one post at a time.

Of course it isn’t really worth that.. but it is fun to see how it does rank in their system (3rd overall).

I don’t know how they come up with their numbers. This is just for fun.

The media is LYING when they say there is more activity by lib/lefts on the net. ALL over the net you find string conservative thought, even on sites with a very young audience

Why are there no gatherings like “yearlykos” for us? The ONLY reason the media started taking notice of the owner of that site is because he became a bundler - people donated to his site then he donated the money.

He used an online tool called to do it. I’ve spoken to someone that was directly involved with it. And only because of that he got a lot of coverage and became a much bigger much more influential site.

It seems like it would be really easy to do.

I Love FR and Jim Robinson. Have been on here everyday since joining in 2008.

But until the attacks against other FReepers stop, there will be less donations and less people joining. Right now, after reading responses on the forum to some good FReepers comments, several are abandoning the site. Sorry...that's what I'm seeing; that's what I've been told.

And yet if you include ‘du’ in your google search term, they will translate it to ‘democratic underground’. Not so for FR.

This website isn’t going to be used to pimp liberals and big government types just because they wear an “R” label. If folks don’t like it, they’re free to leave.

This is the granddaddy of Conservative internet forums. Most folks now are attached to facebook or other social sites. However, if you search a story, one thing you’ll notice is that FR results are usually in the top of Google results. You can post a story on FR and it will be on the top of Google results w/ in minutes. Not too many sites can attest to that.

For example, this thread is already at the top of Google results w/ in a few minutes after posting.

https://www.google.com/search?q=freerepublic.com+Valuation+%40+%24timulator.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

You can’t underestimate that type of power on the internet. Many sites pay massive money to get a fraction of that power.

Worth $170K, priceless for the Nation. I mean think about it; If it wasn’t for cable TV and the internet, we’d have Dan Rather as the Nations #1 news resource and Obama setting up a Sharia court to determine the path for his next 4 terms as President of the Islamic Socialist peoples Republic, formerly the USA.

And many have. They’ve taken their donations with them.

Why else do you suppose the FReepathons drag on and on and on?
