KIEV, Ukraine — The former write-in candidate for Arizona governor traveled to Ukraine looking for love. He ended up hungry and sick in a homeless shelter — the victim of an Internet dating scam.
Social workers were stunned to find Cary Dolego, 53, sitting on a city street last Wednesday, behaving strangely and suffering from pneumonia.
Dolego, who ran for Arizona governor just last year, had traveled to Ukraine this spring to do research for an engineering project and look for a wife. He says he met a woman named Yulia online and, hoping to marry her, went to her hometown of Chernivtsi.
She never showed up.

He went to Ukraine on an engineering contract. Someone hacked the account of the woman he took an interest in and they fleeced him. East European and Russian women can be stunning looking... but when dating any one, exercise due diligence.
Right... every one wants to be happy and find their perfect love. They get disappointed when its not like they imagined it.

How the heck did he imagine he would provide this woman a decent home?
One of my clients met a gal from Russia on line, learned Russian, spent 5 weeks over there, brought her back and they were married. She’s very pretty and smart but drinks a LOT and spends a whole lot of money-like a kid in a candy store. He misdirected an email to her to me and it would appear that all is not newly wedded bliss. Pretty funny.
I don’t think providing her a decent home was among his intentions.

A customer of mine went to Eastern Europe when it opened up. He did some investing in real estate and met a local beauty and married her.
A year or so went by and he began to feel ill and developed some odd symptoms. After a lot of testing his doctor informed him that he was being poisoned. It was something radioactive or a heavy metal, I forget exactly what. The doctor advised him to leave the country as someone was trying to kill him since it wasn’t a poison you could accidentally ingest.
It turned out to be his wife and her old boyfriend, who had access to the poison at his job. They intended to kill John so that she would inherit the buildings he owned.
He took his doctor’s advice and split for California with his young daughter in tow. A few months later he got a phone call from his wife who announced that she was in Los Angeles for a couple of days and wanted to apologize to him and to see their daughter before she returned to Europe.
John agreed to this. He took his daughter to an office building near LAX and took the elevator up. When he got off on the right floor he noticed that the offices were being renovated and looked empty. His wife and two large dudes came around a corner, tied him up and left with the daughter. But at least he’s still alive, although the effects of the poison still linger.

We need to start a fund raising effort on Twitter and Facebook to collect money to find her! I know a very good, honest gentleman in Nigeria with worldwide connections, who is very good at finding lost heirs, missing account holders, etc. I'm sure that for small commission he'd be willing to help.
We'll just need a few thousand in earnest money for me to get him started. To expedite matters, just email me all your accounts information, Social Security numbers, bank pass codes, ....

More likely he was planning on them moving into her parents’ basement, after his parents moved their trailer to a different park while he was at a protest.

He’s 53 and thought a 29-year-old girl would fall madly in love with him at first sight. If there’s a word that exceeds pathetic, that would be my description of him.
