Press watchdog Reporters Without Borders urged media organisations on Friday to take care to protect female reporters from sexual assault while covering unrest in Egypt, following several serious attacks.
The group initially warned women journalists not to work in Cairo's Tahrir Square...It is more dangerous for a woman than a man to cover the demonstrations in Tahrir Square. That is the reality and the media must face it
...
On Thursday, French television reporter Caroline Sinz from the state network France 3 was subjected to a violent sexual assualt by a gang of young men and boys and her cameraman was beaten as they tried to cover the revolt.

I used to do circuit training at a UK gym for a SHORT time. What put me off was a group of ‘Asian’ men that would stand around the machines glaring and commenting on the women (including myself). Clinched it when two of them tried to follow me to the dressing room. VERY unnerving.
The attack on Lara Logan of CBS earlier this year should have warned all females of the dangers.
I get the feeling that too many female journalists are naive liberals. They do not understand how women are treated in many parts of the world. They do not understand that they are going into a violent revolution. They do not understand that news reporters can become targets of the violence. They do not understand that Obama and the liberals are wrong, about this being a revolution to bring about parliamentary democracy and freedom to Egypt.
And now they are being asked to skip a terrific learning opportunity.
Do you mean Asian Asian or the British use of the PC version for North African Immigrants or any mohammedan youth?
What disturbs me most is their bosses sending them there in the first place knowing FULL WELL the dangers.
As a culture, Islam is never going to be held to account by liberals...the left is afraid...unlike conservatives who are lied about everyday by the left, and do nothing, Islam responds with violence.
Always remember...the left are cowards.
The British PC version. That’s why I put it in quotes. I was being facetious. :-)
Islam is not a religion. It is a way of life. And that way of life involves denigrating and demeaning women, brutalizing non-Muslims and spreading their cult by use of force and violence.
Every so-called “moderate” Muslim or “peaceful” Muslim is either a “sleeper” waiting to explode or the parent of a potential maniac.
The West must come to grips with its view of Islamic Reality. This people are NOT just another variety of Sikh, Buddhist, Hindu, whatever. They are members of a violent, intolerant, alien cult out to destroy the west, wipe out ALL religions and impose their cultural version of the Sahara Desert on the world.
Wait...what? "Leering?" I agree sexual assaults are a terrible risk for the journos to have to risk, but leering? The sensitivity meter is adjusted a bit too tightly when rapes are conflated with staring.
That used to be called "common sense".

No; you're conflating leering with staring. Remember Matthew 5:28?

Yeah, just stick around there scum queens and you might experience a close encounter with the true “Arab Spring”, administered by sons of pig f’n dogs who have not recently had a close encounter with a bar of Irish Spring. Enjoy.
I'm afraid not. I don't make biblical references without explaining, and don't generally have use for those who do. Does that passage say quoting a news story is actually me reading something onto it? I admit the possibility. I just commented on what I read. How that makes me guilty of the author's sin is beyond my mortal little mind.
I think any female reporter who strolls out into a muslim riot is headed for trouble (much worse than leering), and far too many of them are willfully ignorant of this fact because of their liberal training.
Maybe because they're self-explanatory?
I don't make biblical references without explaining, and don't generally have use for those who do
Yes, but the "leering" referenced wasn't directed at the female reporters (who are not Muslim women for the most part) but at Arab Muslim womenand on a daily basis. Leering and staring are not the same thing, never were, and never will be.
