I might just pick up on your suggestion because I find that even here amongst fellow freepers there is a lot of misinformation and a lot they don’t consider or see/understand about the nuances of Iranian people and society and politics which is crucial to cracking that nut.

They don’t hate USA. That’s a leftist media fabrication to advance their anti-Shah, pro-Mossadegh, anti-1953-CIA-plot, narrative. They use that narrative to shield carter/brzezinski from their eternally worst and eternally more wicked machination against Iran in 1979.

Prayers for Israel. I wish that they did not have to stand alone to face the threat of a nuclear Iran or a Middle East that wants Israel gone from the face of the map. I can only hope that we are at least helping behind the scenes in a big way, but with the Obamanation at the helm, I have my doubts.

It depends. The air-to-plasma (brightness) could be reduced with aerodynamic shaping and coatings. A cool trick to prevent cratering would be to have it explode just above the target. This would spread out its mass for instant heat conversion, i.e. a bigger explosion. That would instantly release all the projectile’s kinetic energy and vaporize it as well. Big boom, no crater, no residue.
