Everyone hates him for not standing on principle. At least he’s doing so this time.
Wrong way to go about, Mittens.
Mitt says RomneyCare was/is good for Massachusetts. Are there any Bay State FReepers who believe that?
He thinks he’ll only lose one or two or a few primaries. He is confident in the support he gets from polsters and MSM that he’s the annointed GOP candidate. Maybe so. I’m dead certain that in the Georgia Primary, I will vote against him. He can stick his Romney Care up his ass.
Hasta la vista, baby!
Gosh, he must be a man of true conviction! /MS
Works for me. Bye bye, Mitt.
Many people criticize me for being a calculating panderer who plots everything out, and one who changes position to meet perceived expectations.
So by sticking to my guns on Romneycare, I can show everyone that I’m not a plotting panderer, and I don’t change positions.
So how is my plan working?
(obviously not a real quote)
Romney should not be the nom’nee.
Well, you have to hand him at least this much: it is a principled stance. He’s sticking by what he believes was the best thing for his state. Isn’t that what the 10th Amendment is about?
There are dozens of ways to fix health care, Governor; that is conservative, market-based fixes. Government mandated and paid health care is what got us into this mess in the first place.
Some solutions that should be done BEFORE government mandates:
—Allowing purchase of best insurance across state borders
—Allow like minded people to join medical insurance co-ops of their own choosing
—Fixing the grievous misuse of hospital emergency rooms by illegal aliens and the non-insured
—Providing medical scholarships to those who agree to serve in free clinics for a period of time (for the aliens and non-insured above): This period of time could be at internship; or after a practice is established, allowing for some forms of tax benefit (thus ensuring experienced doctors serve at free clinics, too)
—Encouraging medical associations to allow many more medical school slots across the nation
—Fix malpractice lawsuits with serious tort reform
So what happens if he doesn’t win the primaries and decides to run as an independent?
Well, we seem to agree on at least one point.
Mitt Romney refused to criticize his Massachusetts health-care program tonight, saying he would prefer to lose the primary rather than renounce it.
............................................................
I give Mitt my Louissianna answer.
Hey Mitt: That’s ok by me if it’s ok Bayou.
I don’t mind your losing.
He finally picks a principle that he won’t flip-flop on and it’s his love of socialist medicine.
THIS is supposed to be one of the most intelligent of our “leaders” in the G.O.P. ???
Why can’t he say, we tried ObamaRomneycare in MA. It was a huge failure. It is foolish to now foist it on the rest of the nation.
Mitt, on this we agree. Go down with your ship. Please.
Romney shows his true colors (as if they’d really ever been hidden) - a liberal crypto-fascist, just like most democrats and, in particular, the idiot currently besmirching the office of President.
