Tebow to suspended students: Obey rules
Fox Sports ^ | 12/17/11

Posted on 12/17/2011 2:38:52 PM PST by Ge0ffrey

"You have to respect the position of authority and people that God's put as authority over you," Tebow said. "So that's part of it and just finding the right place and the right time to do things is part of it, too. But I think it does show courage from the kids, standing out and doing that, and some boldness."

I don’t know. Many FREEPERS were cheerleading the fact that the students disobeyed the authority. We will see if they change their mind now that Tebow has told the students to obey. I thought it was stupid for the students to do this in the hallway while other students were trying to get to class and of course of blasted for it. I wonder how many apologies I will get for being RIGHT?

Picture your fairy godfather or the archangel Michael coming down and granting you three wishes, to be used to improve the political life of the United States.....

One of my three wishes would be to see the Christian majority in America pull ALL of its children out of the government schools, permanently, on a single day.

There is a time to Tebow, and a time to refrain from Tebowing — His Timness

I’d have some sharp words for those school supervisors if they were just making it up about the students blocking the halls, but still I’d ask students to respect them while the duly established processes of law move on. It’s all too easy for them to chicken out before the ACLU.

Because, as EVERYONE knows. All public schools in every town and all each and every public school teacher are instruments of the DEVIL!

Right?

God or the state?

Good question. Render unto Caesar, and all that.

I think that the trick is knowing which authority belongs to Caesar, and which do not.

Paying taxes? Caesar. Raising children? That isn't Caesar's job. It's our own job. God said so. Too many of us give it to Caesar, though, and stupidly expect a good outcome.

Perhaps these sorts of things are God's way of telling us to listen to His authority on such matters.

Caesar has dumbed down the expression of Christian faith. In the meanwhile, Islam takes little hit at all and sometimes a boost!

Nice lesson, Tim.

Tell the kids that they should always obey their government masters.

The parents of some are fortunate enough to be able to choose different schoolmasters — but not all. Something a little more nuanced about respecting parents and rule of law would be grokkable by students at that level.

God or the state?

While Christ told us to render unto Caesar that which is Caesars, and unto God that which is His,
And He said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Luk 20:25

Paul's was instructed by the Holy Spirit to add the following when he wrote the believers in Rome who questioned whether or not they were subject to Roman law,
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. Romans 13:1-2

To my thinking, the public schools are beyond the point of wanting to try to figure out which ones to save.

Because, as EVERYONE knows. All public schools in every town and all each and every public school teacher are instruments of the DEVIL!

Right?

Pretty much, yes.

Public schools are instruments of the government. They are there to further the government's needs, not the needs of your child.

Your child does not matter, when it comes down to doing what is right and money. Or doing what is right and test scores. Or doing what is right, and attendance. Or a million other things.

Insofar as you had your child, and you are responsible for your child, and want what is best for your child, then yes; all public schools, are evil.

Why would you send your most precious gift to a place that sees your child as a number, a sack of cash, and a body? Your child will not get the help he needs if the federal government doesn't see it as cost effective. Your child will not get moved ahead or held back, even if he needs it; or if he harms the testing results the government says they need to have. Your child is a number. Your child is a file. Your child is data to be input.

With the national standards schools operate under, individual doesn't matter. And yes; that makes the system evil.

From I read, it seems the students did it on the hallways, and not necessarily to pray like Tebow does. I’m Christian, but I don’t want people blocking my hallway, and even worse, pretending to pray when they aren’t.
