what are you talking about
I thought about that. “North” North Korea - administered by China, and “South” North Korea, administered by South Korea. Absorbing the North is just way too costly for the South Koreans or the ChiComs to handle alone.
Pyongyang becomes a city-state? It’s not far from that now, only loyalists are allowed to live there.
Yep, been thinking the same thang: North North Korea and South North Korea.
>>North North Korea and South North Korea.<<
No worse than the Los Angeles Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles.
Maybe one side that can spell correctly, and one side that cannot.
Could be a chance for a double-naught spy to make a little hay.
If North Korea splits down the middle, you’d have the Northeast and the Northwest — and, based on the political geography of the US— I expect both sections would still be Communist.
I am just looking forward to the day when the border comes down and the South Koreans can re-join their families, get the NorKs de-programmed from the decades of brainwashing, clean up the environmental damage done to the land, and a create a thriving economy.
Are you series?
It’s going to take at least two generations before the Koreas can reunite. It may end up being like Canada/US or Germany/Austria, countries that speak the same language, but because of historical reasons, are apart.
The smallest of the three kingdoms was in the South and was readily accessible to the Japanese and was not as xenophobic as the other two kingdoms. The middle kingdom, today's North Korea, was always xenophobic and exceedingly totalitarian.
Nothing has really changed!
don’t be such a pessimist! We’ll conquer canada yet!
Do they have any cement ponds over in North Korea?
Maybe not. The Republic of Korea (South Korea) is perhaps the most advanced country on Earth. Which is amazing, as they were just emerging from third world status when I served there (1978-79 and 1981-82) and still used large charcoal briquets (Ondol) to heat and cook with. They are VERY HARD WORKERS so it’s no accident. If the Germans (another group of hard workers) can assimilate their communist sector, I’m sure the Koreans can too.
I’ll just take Alberta, the rest of Canada is too liberal.
Yeah, right - who gets the nukes?
It took a generation to get rid of the “Wall of the Mind” in Germany.
