The president even admonished one House representative whom he said referred to the issue of the payroll tax cut extension debate as “high-stakes poker.”

While Obama agreed the rep was “right about the stakes,” he said what’s happening in Congress is “not a game” for most

If George Bush had wanted to cut this 2% the democrap mdeia would have been SCREAMING about how evil Bush wanted to cut funding for social security and starve your grandmother.

This ‘2%’ cut is really almost 10% of all the funding for social security.

Instead of paying 15 percent per person the government is only getting 13 percent

And the people will not see 2% they only see 1% change in their paycheck- the ‘empoyer’ portion is where they other 1% comes from

so...

all this fuss over 1%? this lying communist kenyan asshole needs to be removed from office as soon as possible

Obam and the Dims know a series of bandaids, vs. a long-term approach, allows them to play their little reindeer games and do the more damage.

I certainly agree with the overall message of your post. One small correction, though, the 2% reduction was entirely from the employee side (employer percentate didn't change). Another reason this entire cut was such a gimmick; employers had no incentive to expand hiring as their cost of doing business remained unchanged.

Barry is really pissed that he has to stay in DC instead of going on his 4 MILLION DOLLAR vacation in Hawaii, located in Asia.

A two month extension is absurd.

Indeed it is. The accounting nightmare alone in trying to file a quarterly 941 return with different FICA rates would be immense.
