FedEx has vowed to track down the deliveryman who was caught on video carelessly tossing a computer monitor over a fence during a delivery.
Company spokeswoman Shea Leordeanu would not say what would become of the employee once they find him, but added: 'This won't be his best day.' The hilariously sad clip of a FedEx delivery man chucking the computer monitor has attracted nearly 200,000 viewers on YouTube in a single day, many of whom expressed fears that their holiday packages would be treated with the same regard.

When it absolutely, positively has to get there in one piece, send it via the US Postal Service.
How hard can it really be to find him? Where did they get the copy of the video?
All they need is the delivery address.
That certainly hasn't been my experience. The USPS is fully unionized and has even less of an incentive to handle with care.
Hope that was sarcasm. I’ve has USPS literally stuff over-sized parcels into my mailbox. I had to replace an old aluminum mailbox, because they crammed in a box that warped the structure and the door wouldn’t close.
During the holidays, these guys are probably so over-worked that they don’t want to deal with people. I’ve had FedEx AND UPS leave packages on my doorstep without so much as a push of the ringer. Just drop and go.
FedEx and UPS generally deliver to the post office here but I build a simple delivery box that sits in the doorway of the garage just in case.
A number of years ago, I went to the local Fedex terminal to pick up a package. It was on a Saturday I think. I followed the Fedex person out into the terminal area. While she was getting my package out of pile, there was a Gateway computer in the familiar black and white box. She kicked the the crap out of that computer to get it out of her way. I thought it was kind of funny, but then again, it wasn’t my computer.

I find that FedEx has the best record for intact/on-time for me in Dallas. UPS is bad (I used to work for them) but still far better than number three, the USPS. Since when does “Express Mail with Overnight Delivery” between two major cities mean a week?
I believe the USPS is the largest employer of military veterans in the nation. The vets I've known in the postal service are good workers. There's good and bad in every organization. Be it USPS, UPS or FedEx. And I believe most try to do a good job in all three.
I immediately contacted the FedEx distribution center to report the error and they said they would contact the driver and have him return to where he had dropped off the package.
That never happened, it remained lost. While the package was insured, it wasn't insured for the full amount so the seller was out $90.
I sent letters to the president of FedEx to complain about the lack of attention given when I immediately reported the loss and he basically said too bad.......
‘Don’t recieve much from Fed-ex, but the UPS guy—or at least the regular one on our route—is a PR dream for their company. He always delivers to the door, has something poitive to say and ALWAYS thanks us for the business.
I sent a small 3 day Priority Mail parcel out 3 weeks ago and the addressee never got it........I never insured it nor did I get tracking info figuring there's no way 3 Day Prioity would get lost........yea, right.
People STILL fall for the 'Priority Mail' scam.
I see your problem right off the bat. You think of that mail box as yours, it is not. By law the U.S.P.S. owns that mail box after you buy it and install it to receive U.S. mail.

TRACK DOWN???? They know EXACTLY who he is, but I think he’s black, so maybe nothing will happen to him at all....week suspension WITH PAY!
I used to work for Delta airlines years ago when I was a young pup. They, like other airlines, carry a lot of US Mail. I’ll never forget seeing a new $50K Cisco core switch sit out in the rain on the ramp. I also recall the sight of U.S. Mail bags left out in the rain and snow on the ramp.
I say “Hail Mary” whenever I put something out in my mailbox.
Thank God for online bill pay...
