Elder Bush Tells Paper Romney Is ‘Best Choice’

Former president George H. W. Bush offered an informal endorsement of Mitt Romney in remarks published Thursday, saying that Mr. Romney “is the best choice for us.”

The former president told reporters for The Houston Chronicle that he supported Mr. Romney because of his “stability, experience, principles. He’s a fine person,” Mr. Bush, 87, said. “I just think he’s mature and reasonable – not a bomb-thrower.”

The paper reported the comments, made this week, on its Web site Thursday afternoon. A spokesman for Mr. Bush confirmed the accuracy of the comments and said they fully reflect the views of the former president.

GHWB has never held a grudge against anyone unless he be a fellow Republican. Same with GWB!

Bush the elder is the poster child for RINO.

“McStain” is a close second.

Enough said, vote for someone else. Romney is a pliable “moderate” whom the establishment would accept as their nominee.

Perfect picture for Poppy. What an A-hole.

Bush 41's qstatement is typical of the E-RINO Club and Wall Street (including Mitt Romney's Bain Capital types) ...

They don't like the "Bomb Throwers" ... George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Sarah Palin, Newt Ginrich ...

because the "Bom Throwers" jeopardize the $$$ benefits of sucking-up to the King Abdullahs of this World ...

and THEN NOT being able to afford Vacation Home # 7 in the Hamptons ... or the Swiss Alps ...

Poopy just killed Jeb’s walk-on candidacy.

Perhaps he solidified any doubts that somehow Romney is any kind of conservative.

Is Poopy looking for the VP slot (he is eligible), trying to knock Christie from the #2 slot?

Maine’s governor, Paul LePage, is a TEA Party conservative.
He was elected in 2010, and during the campaign he was overheard saying, “If elected, I will spend most of my time telling Obama to go to hell.”

Not all hope is lost in New England. There are conservatives in all six New England states, but for the time being, we’re out-numbered by the libs.

As for Bush the elder, he ran on the Reagan record in 1988 and then, after being elected, he tossed all the conservatives overboard.

Former president George H. W. Bush

The elder statesman of the Permanent Ruling Class. I'm not surprised.
