According to the latest Gallup tracking poll, more Americans approve of the job that President Obama is doing than disapprove for the first time since this summer.

The latest Gallup survey shows that 47 percent of Americans now say they approve of the way that President Obama is handling his job. This is a 5 percent improvement since the Dec. 16-18 Gallup survey and marks the first time the president's numbers have been in positive territory since July. The number of Americans who say they disapprove of Obama's job performance has fallen to 45 percent, down 5 points from Dec. 16-18.

Do you think Mittens is just the stalking horse for Jebbie in 2016?

Is it broken down into topics such as foreign policy, economy, crime, etc.? If not, it’s meaningless.

I would agree if all of the other Gallup polls referenced were conducted differently. I am not sure they were, therefore it may mean something.

You know, does not surprise me, my husband and I have already given up on the election. We project OB will win again, especially with the opposite side as it is and it is not going to change.
Even here on Free Republic, there is this anyone but Romney, or Gingrich, or whomever.
The Republicans, Conservatives and even independents, if it is not their guy then they will stay home, or not vote or whatever.
We will loose and we will regret out stupidity but too late.
Come hell or high water, I will vote and and I will vote for anyone over OB. I do not care who it is.
I will be voting Republican, voting a 3rd party is suicide.

I had a chance to talk to some liberals during christmas eve dinner, and I am sad to say they were relatives. The younger ones maintain that 0bama is the most brilliant on the planet. When I said he read from a teleprompter the kid who was a senior in high school asked “what is a teleprompter?” We have some serious work to do my freeper friends.

“I will work to ensure Hussein is NOT elected in 2012. I will not sit by and act like it is fate.”

FRiend, I agree. The future of the Republic is at stake. It’s time to stand our ground. The problem isn’t the candidates now. It’s the GOP “leadership” in Congress that is playing prevent defense while the dims score points.

The narrative is being set now: Uncle Barry will protect the country from the crazy and partisan Republicans in Congress. By the time we have a candidate it could be too late if McConell continues his wet noodle act. Boehner has been better (not saying much) but has been way too inconsistent.

We need a simple and clear message and all GOP Congresscritters must stick to it!

If the American People are stupid enough to vote for their own demise than let them have it. I am really about done fighting against idiots that think it is good when government intercedes in the free market and takes money from the economy to foolishly spend on one “victimized group or another”.... If the American people have been so hypotonotized by the left that they can’t see the danger of what the Democrats are doing to the country than screw them all. They get the government they vote for. No one is talking about the crushing debt and the absolute insane trajectory of the debt. Obama has added over 5 trillion in defict spending in his first term and all he does is say, Bush and the Republicans made me do it and the idiots in America buy into that crap and blame Republicans, for their part Republicans are too lazy or too stupid to stand up for themselves and they allow these lies to fester and hurt them politically. Let them have it and let them take the full accounting and blame as the debt crisis worsens, as the “RICH” revolt and as austerity is forced on the people all at the hands of their beloved Communist politicians that have overpromised and overspent this country into oblivion. Good Luck.

This is due to the fact that the Pubbie candidates haven’t been unified in their attacks on Zero.

In particular, Mittwit Romney has been trying to be the all-black version of Zero.

Thanks Recovering_Democrat.

My 0bama loving lesbian cousin who is a lawyer said “a little communism is good.” Her girlfriend, who is, wait for it, a professor, said she read 0bama’s books and that was her proof that he is brilliant! When I said they were likely written by Bill Ayers she said “who is Bill Ayers?” Then she said, “if you are saying these things other people must believe it too but how is it that I have never heard of these things?”

If the establishment runs Romney then Hussein will duck to the right of him and win in a landslide.

So-called conservative AM radio jocks, TV "personalities" and their "guest-commentators" are already in the bag for Romney for the most part. Other than Rush, I've quit listening to the majority of them. It's political suicide if republicans force feed this upon conservative and independent voters.

Perry giving details of PT congress and pay cuts is a damned good idea and the only way we will have change is too change them from within. But America is so clueless they think poor poor Obama was gridlocked by the demonic GOP trying to stop the fat cat rich guys from causing all of this.I believe you are correct in your assessment the idiot could win with his hitler lies.Christie or Trump could possibly beat him but everyone want an insider DC guy Gingrich; too primp up for what?It will be left vs evil right and Obama will sadly win.I am for all tea party candidates and even Romney will lose to Obama. We are screwed but denial will take place all the way until Obama’s second term unless we have a last minute hero. The only one that could be is Trump and he is selling books like the rest of them.

The leftist polls are meaningless as they distort in favor of their facist leaders. Then just before the election the polls will tighten up.

But the key is to read to internals, and the recent polls are conducted with the same flawed metric, over sampling of democrats, over sampling of blacks and not voters but just adults.

It’s all meant to discourage conservatives.

Why don’t the Republicans point out to all the people on Social Security that O’Bummer is stealing their retirement money with this payroll tax cut. It’s 100% from the SS Fund. That alone should knock him back down 10 points!

Does the term eat they’re own mean anything?Perry,Bachmann,Santorum. And Romney is forced on us.
Like it or not Christie could have beat Obama and the dem machine knows the tea party would never support a moderate. The only way a conservative wins is with the union,Ca. vote.(SEE REAGAN)No one can do this but maybe Christie but many here would call him a RINO as they primp up Gingrich. And we wonder why Obama will win...It is sad.

Probably because of the recent drop in the unemployment rate (due in part to seasonal employment), coupled with bringing the troops home from Iraq. People will sour on the latter, however, as things fall apart because Obama made a purely political decision to pander to his base, rather than listening to his generals on the ground. He’ll try to cover by blaming Bush once again, arguing that we shouldn’t have been there in the first place, and that Bush’s experiment with democracy in the Middle East has “failed”.
