Good for the employee!

He’ll probably be fired for it, in which case Kroger’s needs to be punished.

This is the dreaded middle ground.

The other two ways it can go is, the employee shot AT the perp; or, the employee shot and killed the perp.

The last one is the ideal outcome.

Thanks FunkyZero.

“...a man came into the store and approached a female worker in the doorway,
putting something to her back that she thought was a gun and demanding money.

The suspect then forced the victim to the office area, where he encountered
a second employee who fired a weapon at him, striking him in the face...”

Right. They cannot allow any positive example of manly behavior to go unpunished.

I believe you are probably right.

This hero will more than likely be fired by Kroger.

This week in Hendersonville a thug attempted an armed robbery at a cash for gold type store. The clerk hit him real good with a left hook. When he came to he was forced to wipe the floor of his blood while waiting for the police.

I saw that, classic. It was a perfectly executed left hook too.

A few comments at the source commended the manager for doing the right thing, but all I could find in the article was that an employee/ worker was the shooter, no reference to a manager..... like the article was edited after the comments.. or did I miss something?

The Star is now reporting the perp has died.

A happy ending to a Christmas season story. Hope the victim doesn’t lose his job. He probably saved some of his fellow employees from injury or death

I hope the guy can keep his job, too. Many companies have a “let them take the money” policy and/or no weapons on company property policy, so he may be facing a firing. We’ll see, though.
