Judith Anne was admitted to the hospital the day after Christmas having suffered a serious stroke....

I am so saddened by this. My beloved and only sister passed away from leukemia in October. It’s a hard road. You have my thoughts and prayers. I’ll miss your wonderful mother.

Father, please help Annie and her brother and their entire family through this sad journey. I ask the grace of a sign for them that will comfort them and let them know that Judith Anne is at peace, so that they can begin to heal. I ask for this sign in Jesus’ name. Amen
Our hearts are heavy for you at this difficult time, Annie. I believe in the on-living soul, and in these last few moments, I’m sure you are not alone as your dear Father and Mother are united. If her soul has now passed, then she may be gone in body, but her spirit will always be with you.

Well you did it made this grown man shed tears (women cry, men weep), not only at the sudden, unexpected loss of one who has been part of the innumerable debates here, and thus “knew” even if in a limited way, but at the love that i see expressed by many, even those on the other side. (I guess those liberals are wrong about such conservatives being a lynch mob).
I scanned thru the pages looking for an update and its like a who who of the religion forum.
And of course i think of the verse “Jesus wept,” (Jn. 11:35) one of the shortest verses in Scripture, maybe because little needs to be said at such a time, and tears speak more eloquently of the heart.
And i think He, the author of life, wept because of the grief death causes, even for the redeemed, (Acts 8:2), though they know a better resurrection awaits those who die in Christ.
And what is sobering is how quickly this all can happen. I had rare exchanges with Judith, but i looked and just last November I responded to a question she sincerely asked me on a thread, and i never thought that would be the last time we would exchange on FR.
May God give grace to your family, and may her death work to bring souls to the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us, that we might live thru faith in Him! Amen
The anniversary of Pearl Harbor attack in 2008 was the date my Dad passed away. He was a WWII vet, and this was a fitting date, as he very much went out fighting to the end.
