The Palace of Westminster has rejected demands to serve halal meat in its restaurants.
Muslim MPs and peers have been told they cannot have meat slaughtered in line with Islamic tradition because the method – slitting an animal’s throat without first stunning it – is offensive to many of their non-Muslim colleagues.
The stance has infuriated some parliamentarians who have eaten meat in the Palace’s 23 restaurants and cafes, having been assured that it was halal.
Lord Ahmed of Rotherham said: ‘I did feel misled. I think a halal option should be made available.’
In 2010, the Mail on Sunday revealed schools, hospitals and restaurants were serving halal meat to unwitting customers.
Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Somerfield and the Co-op all said they stocked meat slaughtered according to Islamic tradition without letting customers know.
Fast-food chains including Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, KFC, Nando’s and Subway are also using halal meat without telling customers, it was revealed.

Allah is not Jehovah, no matter what Muslims say.
They define themselves differently. Their respective expectations of man are completely different in the Quran and in the Bible.
There is only one other being, then Jehovah, that has also demanded worship and he has many names, of which I’ve listed only a couple.

It’s not the fact that the animals throat is slit that most people have a problem with, although it does seem fairly inhumane. It’s the ritual part of the slaughter that I and others have a problem with. I don’t want anything to do with the cult of islam.
What do kosher and halal have to do with each other?
It should be labeled, just as kosher food is.
However, refusing to serve it at all because it offends people, is stupid. They might as well not serve meat at all because it offends vegetarians.
But I still don't know if those restaurants at Parliament serve kosher.
Allah, BTW, is known as Allah to Arabic-Speaking Christians. You do know there are such folks, right?
I’m curious to know if those MPs have a problem with both or just the one. For the record, I have a problem with neither :-)

What is the big deal if meat is halal or not?It doesn’t make it un sanitary or make it taste any different. So they cut the animals throat instead of shooting it in the head, big deal!!

The "BIG DEAL" is that this is but another (OF MANY) of the Islamists' efforts to force us to accept "their" way of life whether we want to or not.
It is part and parcel with "Creeping Sharia" and "Stealth Jihad," and their efforts toward Supremacy over we Infidels.
Bad enough they refuse to "assimilate" but as is their way (and has been for 1,400 years) they will continue to (incrementally) advance their agenda and insist (all in the name of "Freedom of Religion," dontcha know?) that they be given special privileges, even if it means we have to "Submit" (the meaning of Islam, btw) to whatever they desire.

But do understand this. As Islamic culture keeps imposing and changing Western culture, you might find a point or two that you do disagree with, but depending how much Western culture is left, you might find yourself compelled to go along anyway, upon point of death.
I consider the “God” that tells men to kill non-believers; striking off their fingers and their heads; the “God” that tells men that women are chattel and female prisoners can be raped and made into sex slaves; the “God” that instructs his followers to kill anyone who strays from his religion; to be no God, but the Father of Lies. The fruit of Islam is murder, hate, and suffering.
Jesus also said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me.”
If this is true (and I do believe it!) then why would God need a desert thief named Muhammad to be his top prophet, 600 years after Jesus suffered our sins for us, reconciling us forever with God?
I understand that feeling.
The ritual is most farce anyway I am sure.
I don’t wnat Muslim in this country, I don’t want them making a profit off meat I buy, Buy more Pork.
However I do have better things to do when I go shopping than to ask the butcher who killed the meat.Let the Muslims do that.
I ask myself , are there so many Muslims in this country that stores and restaurants must cater to them in this manner? If so we are sinking faster than I thought.
It ultimately doesn’t matter what language is used or the fact that Christians in Arabic countries use Allah as a name for God.
What matters is how the Bible conceptualizes God and how the Quran conceptualizes God. All you have to do is type in ‘differences between Allah and Jehovah’ into Google and
you’ll get website that lists differences by the hundreds.
It is not a small issue. If Jehovah is God, Allah cannot be. You’re entitled to your opinion, but not your own facts.
Where are our Urban II, Prince John Sobieski, Charles “The Hammer” Martels? We need leaders like them who were unabashedly anti muslime.
