“Sponsors award for Jerry Sandusky (claims he didn’t know he was a kiddie raper perv).”

You mean he does NOT have ESP? The dirty bastard!

(anti-you sarcasm)

I am a Newt Supporter too- but I would gladly vote for Santorum over Romney

I am just gettign sick of our guys always having to explain themselves ESPEICALLY for something they had no control over (like a racist comment painted on a rock years before they owned a piece of property)

I wish they would tell the media “yeah- I made mistakes in my life- haven’t you? deal with it” and then refuse to talk to that reporter until they get off the topic

I think our best ticket is Newt/Cain right now. It would make libtards’ heads explode.

It’s strange that Perry is so great, but many of his supporters can’t get out of the gutter.

So, what you’re saying is that Santorum KNEW that Sandusky was a kiddie rapist perv, but decided to sponsor an award for him anyway, despite Santorum’s image as a pro-life, family values guy?

Since when is the truth the gutter.

You must have me confused with a Cain-Paul supporter.

Just because you all didn’t do your homework is not my problem it’s your problem.

The ONLY reason Santorum is up is due to the fact that the TRUTH came out about NEWT.
So now the lemmings are all following Santorum.

Santorum’s rise was so sudden, and so late in the process, that he simply hasn’t been “vetted” yet, i.e., he hasn’t had to endure the anal exam that all of the previous front runners did. But he’ll still get vetted, in front of the S. Carolina primary, at which time he’s as likely to flame out as the rest were.

I agree with you on Perry. He’s got the ground game and the organization to keep gaining ground after his weak start, and he’s clearly a conservative choice, better than Gingrich or Paul. Santorum lost his last election badly, whereas Perry has always won in Texas.

The problem right now is that Iowa caucus goers have this “wanna go with a winner” mentality, which is leading to votes for Romney and Santorum. Romney can’t win enough GOP delegates to be nominated, and Santorum is unlikely to go the distance. Paul is unelectable, if for no other reason than his age (and there are plenty of other reasons besides) and Bachmann is likely to give up soon.

This will leave Gingrich and Perry fighting it out, and my money would be on Perry given his success at winning elections, his organization and money-raising ability, and his conservative message. At least that’s how I see it.

This may not be our best ticket (or it might), but you want to see liberal heads explode, run Perry/Palin at them.

NO this is the kind of stuff these politicians do to make themselves appear like the ( whatever the issue) true believer. I’m sure he is a great supporter of Adoptions over the alternative.

What I am saying, I wish they would take just a minute to check if the person is REALLY worthy. Not just what they hear in the media.

Penn State was/is? a ceasspool of silence. That certainly is NOT his fault.

On FOX last night I think it was Shep was interviewing “Pat (Somebody) who is a former Democrat Campaign manager and Fox News Consultant. I think he looks a little like Sigmund Freud. Dem or not, he’s a pretty savvy chap.

He remarked that Santorum is probably the “least flawed” of any of the Republican primary contenders and thereby might be about as good as we are apt to get.

IMHO he’s on to something.

I don’t think very many of us here would have called Sandusky a “Perv” the day before the story broke on the MSM.

A lot of our idols are found to have feet of clay quite by surprise. Any of our Candidates could be one of them at any time - and no doubt the Democrat political machine is waiting in the wings with a pickle barrel full of “surprises” for most if not all of them.

Remember Hillary’s personal stack of FBI files; she never gave them back, did she? Do they still have access to the World’s top intelligence / spy agencies to do their bidding?

If they can’t find a scandal, are they capable of manufacturing one?

Count on it.

Ask Herman Cain.

I trust Santorum but can he beat Obama? This is the big question.

Yes because conservatives won’t stay home like they will for Romney, Newt and Paul.

PERRY is the only candidate that is honest and above board. Has he made some mistakes sure. But NOT on his CORE beliefs.

Bwahh! That boy comes across as about as sharp as a bowling ball.

If Palin had gotten in at the right time she would be winning by a landslide by now, and Obama would be pooping in his Dr. Dentons, dumping Biden, and begging HilLIARy to join him.

But its too late for that, and I don’t see Sarah playing second fiddle ever again.

The MSM will be looking for dirt on Santorum tomorrow to make sure Mittens gets nominated.

And they’re going to get plenty of Freeper help.

Conservatives are setting up the circular firing squad.

Ok, whatever.

I’m not saying anything that is out of left field.

Santorum is coming off a humiliating loss in Pa against a sub par Democrat. Obviously he isn’t superman, and Democrats/Romney have likely all the points they need to blow him out of the water.

Based on his barely there persona for the past few months, I don’t see him as being able to do much more than trip quickly.

Yeah tell that to TEXANS that are working and have freedoms the rest of the country only dreams of.

Considering that NOT ONE of the other candidates (including Obama)have successfully ran an economy that is 13th in the WORLD. In fact Zero has destroyed the American economy.

I would suggest you rethink that remark.

But, hey, Newt,Romney,Bachman,Paul,Santorum sure as H know how to SPEND taxpayers money.

Don’t buy the MSM “crap” that we don’t have decent candidates. Romney, Perry, Gingrich, Santorum, Bachmann, and Huntsman are all decent people. Compared to the average Democrat officeholder, they’re practically saints. (
And, yes, I left Paul off the list...his newsletter was just that, HIS newsletter.)

This isn’t about decency; I wish it was because the GOP would win in a walk. It’s about policy, and here the candidates clearly differ in many regards. I think Romney’s policies would stink, but that doesn’t make him a bad candidate. I just differ with him on where I think he would take the country.

Tell the MSM to shove it every time they pull out the meme about not having good candidates. For gosh sakes, they supported Obama, a Chicago crook who’s now stealing taxpayer money in Billions instead of just the Millions he was accustomed to stealing for his friends.

Again, we have good, decent, candidates. But they do differ on policies, and that matters. It doesn’t make them bad candidates though.

What I am saying, I wish they would take just a minute to check if the person is REALLY worthy.

And, in 2002, if Santorum had taken just a minute to check, he would have learned that Sandusky was a kiddie raper perv? Despite the fact, which you mentioned, that Penn State was/is a cesspool of silence? That's a bit of an oxymoron, no?

As my tagline (sadly) indicates, I don't really have a horse in this race. But I object to a syllogism that says:

Santorum claims to be a family values candidate.
Jerry Sandusky is a kidde raper pervert.
Santorum sponsored an award for Sandusky.
Therefore, Santorum is not really a family values candidate.
Or, by extension, Santorum condones kiddie raper perverts because of hypocrisy, lack of effort, or political expediency.

I reject the above hypotheses and I go directly to Occam's Razor, which states: "from among competing hypotheses, selecting the one that makes the fewest new assumptions usually provides the correct one, and that the simplest explanation will be the most plausible until evidence is presented to prove it false."

For crying out loud--the most obvious reason that Santorum sponsored an award for (kiddie raper pervert Jerry Sandusky) is that he didn't know that Sandusky was a kiddie raper pervert.

Yeah from a K Street firm hired by Kay Bailey Hutchison spread the rumor. That lasted about a week before PERRY took her to the woodshed on her involvement.

Try a new rumor. That one is old and a WASHINGTON LIE.

Moving along.

He didn’t know.

But the names are linked. People, as stupid as it may sound, will think “wait a minute, he sponsored him for an award”.

The payoff is the “controversy”. Remember Rick Perry and the ranch? He tanked over that.

Santorum will do so here.
