“Conservatives outnumber liberals”
Only means something if conservatives don’t continue to self-destruct!
Fortunately it isn't working.
I expect the NY Times to editorialize on this finding that this is proof that we need a small Liberal ruling class made up of the minority because the majority of the country is composed of Conservative “Bitter Clingers” that are just plain ignorant.
The only explanation of why the 21% of the country can get away hijacking the 79% that disagrees with them is the liberal media / liberal Hollywood. That’s probably the biggest challenge we conservatives face.
If this is really so, why do a majority of liberals continue to be put in office?
Could it be that many who think they are conservative are actually dunces who vote for liberals because it makes them feel good?
I question if many who think themselves conservate are truly so......
If true, then there is ZERO reason why Santorum can’t win this as he is the most conservative of all the candidates. Long marriage....ZERO cheating....great family...anti-abortion. Perfect candidate.
I’ve always been skeptical of this type of poll. It seems likely that liberals are more likely to consider their opinions ‘moderate’ and thus not label themselves liberal. I believe this was alluded to in Bernie Goldberg’s book Bias where he said that his obviously liberal colleagues at CBS always believed their opinions were middle of the road.
And that moderate and lib amount elected the idiot in chief over the 40% conservative. But then again, Rummnie calls himself a conservative. Oh well.
While I would like to believe that conservatives outnumber liberals by a 2-1 margin, I always take these polls with a grain of salt. That’s because I believe if you looked closer at the 35% “moderate” group, you would find a majority of liberals, marxists, and other assorted moonbats. Leftist are fundamentally dishonest people, otherwise they wouldn’t be leftists. They are constantly trying to redefine the center according to their moonbattery, and often describe themselves as “moderate”, “centrist”, and “nonpartisan”.

I still say a moderate is someone who is embarrassed to admit they are a full blown flaming Leftist Liberal Progressive, and willing to sell this nation out at the drop of a hat.
If we out number them then how is it a remote possibility that our “choice” in 2012 will be that lying sack of rotted excrement vs Barack Obama?
Conservatives outnumber liberals.
And yet, the libs control our government and our media.
If I were a liberal I’d be laughing, smiling and flipping everyone the bird too.
So we outnumber libs? does that include the dead people vote?
The most conservative person I know (as far as the way he lives his life) consistently votes liberal. He cannot see the contradiction.
What’s bad about this is the vast majority of those “moderates” have very liberal tendencies, and they stand for NOTHING.
I despise moderates more than I do liberals. I can at least respect an honest to God liberal that is straight up in his beliefs.
Make me wonder if now a days if people even know what a “conservative” is?
Some of the young and naive think Ron Paul is “conservative.” That right there makes me doubt such polls.
I can call myself “conservative” but if I’m for abortion and homosexual rights...then I’m not.
I can call myself “conservative” but if I think I can tax myself into prosperity...then I am not.
I can call myself “conservative” but if I don’t want to maintain a srong and vibrant military - and project that power....then I am not.
The problem with many conservatives is that conservatism is their idea but liberalism is their practical application.
I believe even a convicted murderer is entitled to a couple of hymns being sung and the dignity of a bag put over his head before he is publicly hanged.
