Ok, honey whatever you say.
I do have to give you credit for the ability to know a person’s heart and to decide if he is truly repentant.

If you read my comment closely, it should be clear that I was quoting a CNN analyst and not my personal view. I honestly don’t know how Newt’s past will affect the primary voting. The news media has a heavy impact on how a large percentage of the brainless public votes.

What makes you think he wouldn't continue to do this? He's never been shy in the past. Do you think any of the other candidates will throw punches like Newt? This is exactly what is needed to turn things around in this country.

For one...after John King was embarrassed and humiliated by Gingrich yesterday evening, I would expect the MSM to minimize the number of opportunities Newt will have to lay the wood to their rhetorical backsides.

Once bitten, twice shy, don'cha know?

You misunderstood my comment. I was simply quoting a CNN political analyst. Not my view at all. I think the msm will twist Newt’s past in an attempt to ruin his campaign. CNN, immediately after the debate, was already trying to do just that. I told my wife “well, they are not wasting any time going after Newt. They won’t let him get away with attacking one of their own”. I applaud Newt for defending himself and support his candidacy.

I watched CNN’s after debate show with Anderson Cooper..I thought King handled it pretty well..Gergen said that newt recognized the question as a fastball, and was ready for it, and smacked it out of the park..

Your great grandmother was right - your daughters should NOT marry Newt. Too much risk for a totally traditional family. Luckily Newt's not running to be anyone's husband at the moment...

I assume your great grandmother would also have told you to vote for the man (for President) who will protect your country and your freedoms... You're a loyal freeper - I know that matters to you.

The same press that wanted to rake Newt over the coals for an affair were out in force protecting Clinton from credible rape charges and using State Police to procure vulnerable women for him.

Take some time to get perspective on the MSM - and what they're REAL agenda is - they're NOT working to enforce traditional values...

There will be nothing left of Newt by the time the media is done with him. What they will do to him will make what they did to Palin and Cain look like a trip to Disneyland.

Help us Obi-Wan Romney - you are our only hope.

Huh???

R0mney, the abortion supporter?

R0mney, the author of socialist medical care?

R0mney, the tax raiser?

To hell with R0mney.

WTFC?

The leftist media will savage any Republican, and will protect their little butt-boy 0bama.

Who are you supporting?

In the race for POTUS, the Democrats keep getting the majority of women’s votes during the general election, and I don’t see an end to this ongoing voting pattern. Ditto, with all total minority votes. This is an ongoing problem for, both, the GOP and the needed growth of U.S. conservatism.

“This is one of the most explosive moments we’ve seen in debate history,” CNN’s David Gergen said on the air afterward. “It was also one of the harshest attacks that we’ve had on the press that I can remember in a long, long time.”...........Oh so now it's an attack on the press?

So, how do you reconcile Newt’s support for global warming, lobbying for Frannie, his attack on Capitalism and his lack of family values against the list of Romney’s ‘issues’? If Romney’s a RINO, Newt’s a RINO - only Santorum is not a RINO is this race, although he is unelectable.

I could not conceivably overlook Newt’s despicable private life. He’s a swine and a cad. I know exactly what Mitt and Ann went through and by the same token I know exactly what Newt ran away from.

They are going to do that to anyone on our side, even Romney, who they seem to favor at this point. They did it to McCain. They were all for McCain until it came to the general election and then they savaged him. They're going to clobber Romney about wealth, Bain capital, Mormonism, whatever. They're going to beat Santorum up over his deceased child, and his stand on abortion. Ron Paul? They're going to kill him for his apparently "crazy" remarks (9/11 being an inside job, etc.). We know what they are going to do to Gingrich.

The difference is, while everybody knows what the media will throw at them, Gingrich is ready for it and can dish it right back to them. He isn't going to play the fool and try to suck up to them. I think that will count for something with voters. It certainly should among FReepers and conservatives. I for one am tired of our people getting beat up and seemingly not standing up to the media bullies and fighting back. A lot of our candidates still labor under the illusion that they can make the media "like" them if they just play along. That is a fool's game, and we're better off not playing it.

So, how do you reconcile

Reconcile with what?

That he's not perfect? I never said he was.

That I disagree with him on some topics? I never said otherwise.

He's also not my first choice, and if I were in South Carolina I would vote for Santorum tomorrow.

But that's not the issue.

The issue is that R0mney supports abortion, R0mney is a prideful and unrepentant champion of socialist medicine, and R0mney is a prideful tax-and-spend leftist.

R0mney is the "only remaining hope" of the 0bamorrhoids who wish to see their little butt-boy re-elected.

I’m a conservative and would love for our candidate to be SQUEAKY clean at all levels.

However, his marital indiscretions are his burden to carry, he has not hidden them, he has answered too many questions relating to them and not enough relating to how he would officiate as President.

The reality is, Newt is a fiscal conservative, has a vision, and can hopefully get the that stinking, useless, neutered republican establishment in Washington to start acting like they give a damn about this country and undo what that socialist, treasonous son of a bitch 0bama and his minions have done to our country.

This is what our country needs right now, not some underhanded crack about morality and insinuating that other candidates are somehow more moral.

We already know about his infidelities, come up with something new.
