Speaking on MSNBCs "Morning Joe," former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani praised Newt Gingrich and criticised Mitt Romney as a flip-floppoer.
Ive never seen a guy change his positions on so many things, so fast, on a dime, on everything, Giuliani said about the former Massachusetts governor. Pro-choice, pro-life. And pro-choice because somebody, a close friend, died, and he became pro-choice because this woman died of an abortion. Then he figures out there are embryos and he changes.
Then he was pro-gun control, Giuliani opined. Fine. Then he becomes a lifetime member of the NRA. Then he was pro-cap-and-trade. Now hes against cap-and-trade. He was pro-mandate for the whole country, then he becomes anti-mandate and he takes that page out of his book and republishes the book. I could go on and on.

Oh, my. Must be a cold day in hell. Rudy sticks it to Romney!!
Go, Newt!!
Hey, I agree with Rudy for once!
This primary contest is like an Ali-Frazier fight.
Rudy is not conservative on the social side, but he is ALWAYS intellectually honest. Calls them like he sees them.
Giuliani concluded that Romney was a "man that will say anything to become president of the United States.Meanwhile, the 9/11 icon likened Gingrich to Ronald Reagan.
I kind of go back to 1980 and I remember the Carter White House just dying [to run against] Ronald Reagan, Giuliani said. Ronald Reagan was the dumb actor, Ronald Reagan said incendiary things, Ronald Reagan was like Newt gosh, you never knew what he was going to say and the whole world would go crazy The New York Times would write editorials. There was Bush, greatest resume of anyone who ever ran for president, solid citizen. They got Reagan and they got trounced.
That should liven the debate.
Whoa, who’d have thunk it? Thanks Mr. Mayor!
Like him or lump him, Giuliani has more integrity in his little finger than Romney has in his entire body.
In 2008 I made the point that all of the GOP guys would enjoy going up to the hunting lodge together for a man’s weekend, McCain, Hunter, Thompson, Huckabee, Giuliani, for drinks and man talk, but that they would not invite Mitt if the public and media would never know.
Never been an admirer of Rudy’s politics, but I’ve never thought of him as dishonest. Always seemed to be a stand up guy I simply disagreed with.
Wow
Okie. I love Rudy. But to say he has integrity. LOL.
Hey.... didnt we hate Giulianii 4 years ago?
( I guess even he got tired of the anti Newt hit pieces about Newt and Reagan)
Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! Did this happen at McDonald’s? Because “I’m lovin’ it!”
Hey, doesn't a blind squirrel find a nut sometimes?
Rudy get your butt down to FLA!
There are a couple of hardcore Romney freepers, who detest Newt, and were Giuliani guys before Romney, I wished I could ping them to this.
Rudy is very very very slow...
Most republicans figured this out a long time ago..
Who knows Rudy may find out Juan McLame is double dealing back stabber soon..
Sarah Palin has been trying the wash the McLame stink off her for a couple of years..
Poor Todd.. and the girls..
Rudy is wrong on a number of issues, and he is certainly not popular around here, but where he is right he is brilliant. He’s joined a chorus of people I trust getting behind Newt. Palin, Cain, Thompson, etc.
north eastern liberal republican fight!! fight!! fight!! fight!!
Two words: Secretary of State.
Make that THREE words: Secretary of State.
Bump
AG!
Context is everything, Giuliani as President, deathly wrong.
Giuliani endorsing the conservative candidate as he faces the massive onslaught from the Romney rino machine? That is some mighty fine stuff.
By the way, Palin has maintained a relationship with, and worked on him for years, they are friends.
I might add that Sarah Palin would fit right in with that "man's weekend" at the hunting lodge -- certainly a truckload better than Mitt!!!
She is clearly comfortable being "one of the guys" and that's another thing about her that scares the bejesus out of the Left!!
Check out my posts.
I have NEVER trashed Rudy Guiliani.
Rudy was a better man than that RINO relic Juan McCain.
Rudy was a better man than Willard who is John Kerry dressed in Republican elite clothing.
Rudy is a better man than Ron Paul who has spent his political lifetime in the do-nothing, know-nothing congress.
Rudy is a better man than preachy Eagle scout Ricky Santorum whose political claim to fame came in the United States Senate which is the most treacherous political body this Republic has ever created.
When these continental United States faced its worst attack in our nation’s history, Rudy manned up and provided leadership.
Rudy may not pass the ideological purity tests of social conservatism like Dubya who inexplicably slept in the same political bed as Teddy Kenney on No Child Left Behind, Medicare Prescription Drugs and Comprehensive Immigration Reform but he has proven his mettle, when leadership was required in one of our nation’s darkest hours, he manned up and provided it.
LOL! Two pictures ... worth a thousand words :-)
Give em the ole’ Newt and Rudy!!!
Good point, even with the wives left at home for man’s weekend, Palin and Todd would fit in.
CAIN IS NOW BACKING NEWT !
No one hates Rudy, or did.
But nobody wanted him as President.
One thing Rudy dislikes is a greasy car salesman, and he’s calling it like he sees it.
he is ALWAYS intellectually honest. Calls them like he sees themGreat observations. This po' ol' southern boy actually likes the man.Like him or lump him, Giuliani has more integrity in his little finger than Romney has in his entire body.
Rudy get your butt down to FLA!
The Mittiot! I look forward to the day he fades into Goredom.
Wow, that’s a surprise.
Well, I’m thinking this: Perry endorsed Giuliani in 08, and now Giuliani semi-endorses Newt (and pimp-slaps Romney) in 12??
Or—Department of Justice. Rudy went after the mob bigtime in NY!
Rudy mentioned that he was a “Newt guy” to the Friends weeks ago. Haven’t seen him invited back to the curvy couch since.

Now there is an endorsement I might not have expected. I wonder if Rudy Giuliani has changed, mellowed on one hand and braved up on the other. Very curious, but much appreciated from another confident in-your-face sort. Thx, KG.
Bump!
I know it’s not cool around here, but I always liked Rudy, mainly because as a regular reader of the New York Post I became very familiar with how much the liberals HATED him when he was mayor. Their hatred for Giuliani was freaking visceral! One of the funniest examples was when Danny Glover breezed into town from Hollywood and claimed the cabs in Giuliani’s New York wouldn’t pick him up because he’s black.
If he didn’t have to sell his soul and take positions on issues he actually cared NOTHING about - - primarily abortion - - in order to get elected mayor of NYC, he would be a conservative favorite right now, believe me. Giuliani is a very likeable, conservative guy. He was truly a great mayor for NYC. He brought the place out of the swamp and showed terrific leadership during the 9/11 terror attacks.
(shrug) Maybe it’s just from following his tenure as mayor on a near-daily basis, but I like the guy.
Mittens he ain’t.
