How can any right thinking Christian, conservative or tea party supporter justify voting for Romney?

Romney is an empty suit. A complete fraud. Worse, he's anti-tea party, anti-conservative, anti-liberty! He has absolutely zero conservative accomplishments to his name. His ONLY accomplishments in government are liberal, ie, tax payer funded abortion, gay marriage, gun control, RomneyCare, mandates, etc. He is Obama-lite.

Are these voters uninformed, terrified, brainwashed, or just plain nuts?

He’s not Obama, and he didn’t go to Rev. Wright’s Church of “Hate Whitey.”
So he’s a Mormon, and so what if Mormonism is a bit weird. At least he’s not a Moslem sympathizer like the current inhabitant of the White House.

Remember - AGAINST Obama in the General.

And, no matter what else happens, work to get conservative Republicans into the House and Senate. We’ll need them to forestall whoever wins.

I would love to see Santorum nominated. His nomination would really excite most of my friends. However.... the fact is that he has not caught fire. He does not look comfortable in his own skin for reasons I cannot fathom. He has a disturbing and distracting habit of looking down and off to one side (looking at no one) when he answers questions. He is a heroic and decent man, a good husband, a great father and a really practicing Catholic of the best sort (no arrogance, just walks the walk and talks the talk) that we Catholics see so few of these days.

Rick Santorum would be great to have as a nominee but we cannot continue to split the conservative vote and hand Romney pluralities, especially in winner take all states. I wish Sarah Palin were the one and only conservative candidate but she is not. We can all name folks who would make a better consensus choice than Newt Gingrich but they either are not running or there is Santorum who is not proving ready for prime time as a POTUS candidate.

Show me how Santorum shows the pure political talent to be a better candidate than Gingrich to defeat Romney (which is the essential job #1 this year). This cycle is going to be harder than any of us expected because Mittwit is buying, bullying and bribing his way to the nomination. One million corrupt dollars/one vote for Romney, the leftist Obozo lite, is not how most of us view the GOP and its nominating process.

I don't like this situation any better than you do BUT it is what it is.

I am listening to a local radio talk show out of Milwaukee and they are playing Romney's speech given last night. He is actually saying in one speech that this election is for the soul of America and that, as governor, he saw to it that Massachusetts public schools were the very best. Those were the schools where a homosexual practice called fisting was taught and where parents were not allowed to know much about the classes and not allowed to keep their kids out of them.

We need one political party whose nominees can be relied upon to be pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, anti-taxation of folks of modest means, anti-envirowhackoism, anti-regulation, pro-private sector medical care, favoring and guaranteeing a military that is second to none and so far ahead of whatever comes next that no one challenges us, whose foreign policy is not one of mealy mouthed business-like "negotiations" or other diployak with our enemies but straightforward Jacksonian policy of killing any enemy that threatens us or our allies credibly. It would also be nice to see an end to the squandering of mountains of taxpayer money on such bills as porkulus, Obamneycare, TARP bailouts, other bailouts of the privileged and comfortable who are said to be "too big to fail," endless increases in the debt limit and in useless government trendy programs and their budgets, an end to green everything, "gay" everything, and credibly dedicated to name only the most conservative and capable judges to all federal court vacancies.

There has not been a real conservative movement in this country since shortly after Reagan's election. My contemporaries from the 1960s and 1970s hold things like CPAC to make believe that the movement lives but it does not. YAF is effectively gone. YR's and CR's are not what they were. Bill Buckley is dead and has not been (and will not be) replaced. National Review died with him and is now nothing but a whorehouse for moderates with literary pretensions and no imagination. Phyllis Schlafly tested machine guns for the Army during her college days in WW II and it is amazing that she survives but she is not as active or dominant as she was. The NRA is in the hands of David Keene who is no better than a moderate today and always on the lookout for cash. National Right to Life Committee is in the hands of people who aspire to 40 year careers capped by a gold watch and a nice pension. After years of misrule by Keene, the American Conservative Union is a rotted out husk of what it was under principled people like the late John Ashbrook. Ronaldus Maximus is dead and buried and the bad guys are trying to appropriate his fine and deserved reputation for people like Romney who were his actual enemies.

We must rebuild the conservative movement (and not a mere Paulistinian version) but we have no time to do so this year. Priorities: #1: Defeat Romney, #2 Defeat Obozo and elect a GOP Senate, #3 begin to purge the GOP leadership in both houses, #4 rebuild the movement and hold the elected SOBs strictly accountable. If we want to leave a viable nation to our children, we may have to swallow our pride, ask Santorum to step aside and endorse Gingrich and Michelle Bachmann to endorse likewise and for Sarah Palin to take a leadership role bashing Mittwit and nominating Gingrich. Whatever makes the talk show hosts comfortable in their public neutrality, we need Rush and Sean and Mark Levin and Hugh Hewitt on board leading the charge as our substitute for Mittwit's infernal money supply.

see there is the ignorance of a Romneybot

I asked you to give me 5 issues where they differ , you gave me nothing because you know there is not one issue which makes Romney and obama different

homosexuality, planned parenthood, abortion, fiscal, debt, spending, military, talks with Taliban

Romneybots cannot talking on the issues because there is no issue Romney can be pointed to.

Obama is Romney , Romney is obama, and when and he did run to the left of Kennedy then that explains it all and how dumb and ignorant those who voted for Romney are.

Look at issues, not a some fancy pants guy giving a decent speech and look all business like, we’ve been through that for the past 3 years , instead look at the issues

Do you support the homosexual agenda. check
do you support abortion
check
do you support Govt health care check
do you support planned parenthood, check
do you support big Govt, check
do you support a VAT now, check
do you support talks with Taliban, check
do you support spending , check
do you support bilingual classes , check

That is Romney on his record and comments from his staff in the last week, now where does obama stand, oh yea the very same as Romney

agree with that.
I’m arguing with a Santorum supporter now but cannot see that he has not caught fire and most likely never will, hell he won’t even win his own state and he knew that the conservative vote was split.

I’m arguing with a Romneybot who said they were not a Romneybot but has now shown their true colors.
Not one issue can they point out how obama is different from Romney, not one.
all social issues are the same as obama’s
Fiscal is the same as obama’s

During the election here in FL Romney ran AD after AD and not ocne mention Govt health care, homosexuality, abortion, his public schools which made a 5 year old hear a book called the king and the king or the prince and the prince, a queer book which has man loving another man.
He did nothing about that public school and the school refused to the the father that they were telling the kid.

Romney has dissed the base, and yet last night he states we will unite
ER NO WE WON’T I WILL NEVER SUPPORT, GIVE MONEY, TO THE LEG WORK, GET OUT THE VOTE OR VOTE FOR ROMNEY.

He needs the base in Nov inn this swing state and he has lost it and lost FL thus lost the election.
Let him run around wiht Coulter, Rove, Hume and get hardly any sleep because he has ignored the base and the establishment attacked our candidates minus Santorum and Paul due to them not a threat and no chance of winning

They hate Obama so much they’re willing to vote for someone who isn’t Obama even if they both stand for the same things. It’s the left fooling people into believing Obama is the one behind all the decline in America when he’s just a puppet.

It’s idiotic, but that’s pretty much it. And by doing so, the left wins.

IF it’s Obama or Romney, for which would you vote?

I don't speak for JR ... but as for me and my house, we will serve The Lord.

IMO, that means voting for neither of those socialist abortionists.

The bottom line, no matter what explanation gets used, is that these people don't really believe what they say they believe.

I agree with your punchlist but for one thing: “Rush and Sean and Mark Levin and Hugh Hewitt on board leading the charge as our substitute for Mittwit’s infernal money supply.” I don’t know Hugh Hewitt. Mark Levin is helping. Rush and Hannity will NOT attack Bishop Willard Romney in any significant way, although they will throw a few weak sparring punches his way to claim they were objective. This truly is conservative grassroots versus the GOP commissariat. We are almost reduced to samizdat resources.

Yeah, so decent that he supports homosexual marriage, abortion, raising taxes, government run and taxpayer funded healthcare..
That’s real decent, yup.

The left wins, the right wins and the big winner is the establishment power elite who are clearly in position to maneuver, manipulate and obfuscate while all the citizen has left is the second amendment. The US today is woefully confronted with the very reason Patrick Henry argued in the Virginia Statehouse which ended in the adoption/inclusion of the 2nd amendment. The old saying; if you don't use it you lose it, is clearly why this country has gone corrupt and is in such decline.

I understand completely, thanks for taking the time to respond.
Yes the behavior of the good folk in SC may seem questionable.
Personally I think the South Carolinian’s are prime examples of what’s RIGHT with the GOP.
So that leaves me (and you) questioning their decision(s).
I trust they knew of Ricks intentions or saw the handwritting on the wall.

Take care!

See if the names of the following judges are familiar to you. Each was appointed by GOP squishball POS POTUSs: Ike: Earl Warren, William Brennan, Potter Stewart (Roe vs. Wade); Tricky Dick: Warren Burger, Herod Blackmun (both Roe vs. Wade), Lewis Powell; Feckless Gerald Ford (brainless squishball extraordinaire): John Paul Comrade Babykiller Stevens; Ronaldus Maximus: Sandra Day O'Connor (perpetuator of Roe vs. Wade), Anthony (Sandra Day) O'Kennedy (Ditto); Bush the Elder: David Swish Souter. The only GOP POTUS of the last 60 years not to make serious and terrible blunders was Bush the Younger and even he was ready to appoint Harriet Myers until the Right revolted.

Romney is far more evil than any of the foregoing, with the possible exception of Betty Ford's brainless concubine. Romney appointed nothing but pro-abort and generally leftist Demonrats to Massachusetts court vacancies. He is no better than Obozo and, since he can destroy the Republican brand while governing similarly (except as to protecting the trust fund American community), he is likely worse. Suppose that Romney names a 50 year old social revolutionary baby killer and marriage killer "Republican" to the SCOTUS. Not that he will get that chance because conservatives will see to it that he loses the nomination or he will be made to lose the election when we don't vote for him. Such a satanic SCOTUS nominee would serve 35 years in good health and be a worse nuisance than the aforementioned "Republican" nominees save, perhaps, Herod Blackmun (the very antiChrist himself). Kagan, Sotomayor and Ginsberg are as bad as any bad GOP nominee. Breyer is marginally better.

If this nation and civilization are to be destroyed, let the Demonrats do the destruction and we can come back (if there are still elections) with a reliable and electable conservative after rebuilding the conservative movement. Meanwhile, we can tie up Obozo by stopping his nominations for anything by keeping the Senate in session and blocking all appointments by solidarity among 47-57 GOP Senators. When we get to 60 after 2014, Katy bar the door! If Romney is POTUS, the GOP Senators will rubber stamp his every leftist appointment and the war is lost. AND I mean bureaucratic appointments as well as all judicial nominations to all courts and also such items as the Law of the Sea Treaty and other "diplomatic" abominations that sap and ruin the sovereignty of our nation.

Your heart is always in the right place, dearest Black Elk. Sarah Palin is the only anti-Establishment worth her salt. Unlike Sarah Palin, the others you named have yet to recognize or state that this is a two man race, so by keeping Santorum alive, they're complicit in handing Romney the nomination.

I'm sorry I do not share your high regard for Santorum. Never have. I view him as a pro-life NorthEastern Republican, who was soundly defeated in a landslide by a pro-life democrat in 2006 and I doubt that he would even carry his home state. Now he's running attack ads against Newt Gingrich in Colorado and Nevada, but none against the front runner Romney, and I have to wonder why?

Ummm, Manc is right and you are wrong!

As the corrupt Mittwit and his mountains of money (which substitute for his brain) amply prove, Republican often does not mean conservative. See McCain, Robert Dole (tax collector for the welfare state), Bush the Elder, that thing Ford, Nixon, Ike, etc.
