Freepers, Newt Supporters: 46 States to go (Mitt's Gotta Face the South Again Soon)
Freeper TitansAFC | 1-31-2012 | TitansAFC

Four down, forty-six to go!

First, I would like to Congratulate Mitt Romney! No, really! Between he and his Super PAC, Team Romney dumped over 25 million dollars into Florida since the beginning of the campaign which, along with the diabolical coordination with formerly credible GOP media personalities in a massive Establishment smear campaign, resulted in Mitt Romney getting less than 200,000 votes more than he got four years ago!

The result was a plurality win in a four-person primary where only two candidates even attempted to win the state. At least as impressive a performance as winning a basketball game against a team that only fielded four players!

But he'd better get busy again! At his current return of about one delegate per $500,000 in combined spending, he's going to need nearly $600,000,000 to buy the necessary support to be the GOP nominee in August!

On a bright note, my Freeper Friends, it gets better from here. You see, Mitt was expected to take places like NH and FL, places where it is hard to fight an Establishment favorite. But his troubles are only beginning: as seen in the polls posted in the last few days, he trails miserably in the South - states with disproportionately large numbers of delegates with many winner-takes-all Primaries. He is also second or third in most polls of key midwestern states, like Missouri, Ohio, and Minnesota. To top that off, he is at BEST in a statistical tie with Newt in national polls, despite his massive money advantage!

Georgia alone has nearly 80 delegates, a lot more than Florida, and Newt will clean house there. Don't even get me started on the sweetest plum, Texas, where Newt is a favorite and our friend Captain Perry is circling the wagons for Gingrich! Texas has 155 delegates, NC 55 delegates, Ohio 66 delegates, Alaska 50 delegates, and they are all Newt country right now!!

http://www.2012presidentialelectionnews.com/2012-republican-primary-schedule/

As you see above, the longer the campaign, the more it favors Newt Gingrich! Mitt may win some states here early, but he is breaking the bank to do so. And if he's struggling this hard to win states he should win easily, image what it's going to be like for him when he faces more South Carolina type places in the future!

To arms! To arms! Keep up the good fight, keep fighting! We WILL win this thing in the end because the state delegate count favors us GREATLY as the campaign goes on! Mitt can't win in the South, he struggles mightily in the midwest, and he won't win in the corn belt.

The fight has only just begun! Mitt has broken the bank, and has only a small lead to show for it in delegates. We are in good position, and we will prevail in August and then November!!!!!!!

Been a Freeper since 2001, but I don’t feel welcomed here anymore because I don’t support Newt. Both Romney and Newt have some serious flaws to be sure, but between the two I would much rather have Romney as the nominee, matched up of course with a helluva VEEP yet to be picked. But saying this on Freerepublic will for sure get you chewed up and spit out.

Are we just a bunch of prejudiced, anti-morman, populist bigots?

Don't use 'we' - 'we' are nothing like you. Besides, it's used as manipulation tactic by those wallowing in deception.

Thanks, but we don’t have anything to do with it. Maybe you could write a letter to Federal Judges Orlando Garcia and Xavier Rodriguez on the people of Texas behalf. See how far that gets us.

Hell of a VEEP - LOL! That $*^t don’t fly anymore. Vote for your gay marriage candidate. Vote for big gov’t romneycare. Vote for a known liar and deceiver. You aren’t the first one attracted to evil.

The Dems judges are playing a game with us over reapportionment.

The longer they delay this the less we will influence the process.

Dirty criminal bastards.

So you want us to get banned if we don’t support Newt? Wow! Is that really what Freepublic has come down too? I hope not. If so then ban away.

But Mitt believes in freedom, a strong military, making america a place capital flows to instead of away from, said he’ll repeal obamacare, is pro life (now) etc.

You bought his lie - knowing he's a liar, you believe him anyway. If you used your head instead of listening to him, you would KNOW he's is not going to repeal obamacare - it's not rocket science that when he embraces his romneycare which is a template for obamacare, he's not going to repeal it. Besides, you obviously have not been keeping up - there are threads here about him not repealing it.

Big gov't and he's going to make capitol flow? Yeah, right into the gov't coffers!!

Have you stopped for one moment and realized he never said how he will do anything? He has no plan - it will be business as usual. Furthermore, he's the only candidate that cannot beat obama. There are no difference between them. I asked you to show me the difference and you haven't. Nor have you given me anything what he has done FOR America. The man does not have a drop of patriotism in him. For him, it's what America can do for him.

What you are attracted to is a liberal who lies. He doesn't even belong on the R ticket w/his record. That's why he has to trash Newt - because he has NOTHING to run on but money and lies. You don't trash consistently and give favors to others to back him if you have a good record. Bottom line - he's a POS, lying snake in the grass conman. Barry #2.

Slick Willard is an abortion pushing, gun grabbing, homosexual supporting liberal. He has NEVER done anything conservative. Repeal Obamacare? Romneycare was the pattern for it. He ain't repealing anything. He was so BAD as a Governor that he didn't run for a 2nd term. He would have lost.

You push Romney on FR and the owner will zot you. Fair warning. Slick Willard is the same as Obama and he ain't welcome here.

Well I don’t know about the pro gay stuff.

Well, you know nothing about him then - just what he tells you! DUH! Governor Mitt Romney ordered town clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses on May 17, 2004. And the FIRST state to do so.

But Mitt believes in freedom, a strong military, making america a place capital flows to instead of away from, said he’ll repeal obamacare, is pro life (now) etc.

What an idiot. Back in December, Rippin liked Newt Gingrich.

What changed to turn him into a Romney-bot? The group think that he was complaining about here...LOL. He’s a lamestream deceiver-believer.

It’s not who you don’t support, but who you are pushing. If you post Romney operative talking points/smears then you have wrote your own ending on FR..Romney is not a conservative and is beneath even the worst RINOS. We are all guests of Jim Robinson.

First of all, FR didn't come down. If you want the gutter - go somewhere else. And don't twist it for your own agenda - it's not about supporting Newt. Romney is obama #2. If you don't know that, that's your problem. Get educated. But surely you know FR doesn't support gay marriages and yet Romney does - so why the surprise? It doesn't support big gov't - so why the surprise? It doesn't support a liberal mindset candidate with the record to prove it - so why the surprise? I think you can see your 'act' isn't a surprise to us.

Thank you very much for the optimism. Prepare for the GOP-E and so-called conservative pundits to declare the race over. I’m sure Mitt Romney would love that to be true, but I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I want my chance to vote against Mitt. I don’t like liberal Democrats, so why in the world would I ever support a liberal Republican, aka Mitt Romney? So far his entire campaign has been about other candidates, because his own record is pure political poison.

ez: “ Newt OBLITERATED Santorum by an embarassing 20 point spread after being attacked by Romney and the GOP-E for ten days. Rick is toast.”

I sure wish Rick would get a clue. He seems a decent guy but not very charismatic. All he can do at this point is help Romney by dividing the conservative vote. Of course, maybe that's what Rick Santorum wants. Some FReepers seem to think so.

Guess that wasn’t the last straw for Michele Bachmann. The self-proclaimed leader of the tea-party caucus and candidate whose number one issue was the repeal of Obamacare has been strangley silent since that statement, hasn’t she?

Bachmann is trying to see if Mitt can meet her price. I fully expect her to endorse Mitt.

This election will truly reveal to us the real Conservatives. Every day more and more enemies of our Constitution are revealing themselves.
