Any drafted player can do what Manning and Elway did. ANY PLAYER. If you come into the draft with a resume that allows you to negotiate, than so be it. Don’t blame Eli blame the system because it allows it!

As far as I’m aware, Manning and Elway are the only two QB’s self-centered and arrogant enough to refuse to play for who drafted them. You saying Eli is better than Unitas, Starr, Bradshaw, Montana, Aikman, Staubach, etc.?

No, Manning is not better than Brady. The best are Rodgers, Brees, and Brady. And Peyton when healthy.

I really don’t care that much who wins, since there is no team in my area any longer. As long as the dog killer scum bag does not win. Karma hit Philly by embracing Vick. They had the best baseball team but couldn’t win it.

"I also have no doubt that the old teams of the 70s would shred the modern teams. Not with speed, but because they would be absolutely disgusted with the prima donna crap in the modern players. Without all the rules to protect the offensive, it would be a massacre."

Can't disagree with THAT! It's really a shame the game has changed so much, the ref's can't stay out of the way no matter how ticky-tack the infraction is, and there's no such thing as a "weather game" any more, at least for the playoffs.

Some day, the Cleveland Browns will come back to their rightful place as one of the NFL's original founding teams and champions...and then they'll go off to the Super Bowl and totally wilt in some over-heated, domed stadium, besides being called for a record 63 penalties because they're playing a favored "big media market" team...I'm sure I will see this in my lifetime! ;)

There’s lots of players who hold out or don’t sign. The thing that makes Elway and Eli stick out is they were #1 picks, meaning the team that drafted them had months to negotiate with them and figure out these guys didn’t want to be there and drafted them anyway. Because of the modified rules the team with the first pick gets it’s really on the team to pick a player who wants to be there, they actually get the freedom to find out.

Overall it was an exciting game, enjoyed it from begining to end. This is how football ought to be.

Once again CONGRATS to the NY Giants NFL football team, the 2012 Super Bowl Champion.

The pass from Manning that kept the last drive live was a circus catch from the receiver. Not the first time it happened in the game. Brady was right on the money with passes he practionally layed in the receivers hands and they dropped the pass. What game where you watching? Neither team was as good as the teams were four years ago. The best team was the Packers. 9 out of 10 times they beat the 7 loss Giants team, who happened to the worst running game in the NLF. The Patriots this year were Brady and nothing else. He got the team to the Super Bowl, inspite of them having one of the worst defenses in the league.

I think about some of the great players of the 50s and 60s and they must be absolutely aghast at what the game has become. Especially the amount of money that is tossed around. These kids that celebrate a big play when their team is down by 20 point are a disgrace. Yeah, you are so special that your team is losing. It’s less about the team and more about the individual.

Cleveland had some great teams and players back then. I think that there are too many teams today as well. The talent is diluted. However, the NFL is a major cash cow. They will not cut teams.

NBC and the NFL has become “All Politics All The Time”.

Yup, full bore, especially from now to November 6, 2012. It was like this was the 'kickoff' to the media blitz coming. Most people didn't even pick up the obvious political bias and subliminals. . but their brains did. . .

The battle for the hearts, minds and souls of America. . fight hard and remember the Founders.

It seems like the Patriots, the rest of the team was being carried by Brady, and to a degree Granbonski and Hernandez, which does not help a team.

The Lions made the playoffs...just goes to show how watered-down the whole league was this year.

“Manning is the better QB and Brady deserves to go down for dissing Tebow”

Yes, I agree, but it’s the other Manning. Why get mad at Brady for telling the truth about Tebow, who will never lead a team to the Super Bowl playing quarterback. If the Broncos want to keep him they will eventually put him at running back. Option passers from the SEA hardly ever make NFL quarterbacks. But they can take off and run and Tebow is damn good at it. Any why all the hoopla about him praying after a good play? Sammy Sosa did it every time he hit one of his many homeruns. Never heard the media jumping on him about it.

Late to the party, but oh my goodness, the Giants *did it!* I knew they would. So many great players, all healthy at once. Eli - who is the very best at being cool-headed and even. Cruz, Nicks, Jacobs, Tuck, Manningham, Bradshaw, Pierre Paul (love that his dad was there!), Rolle, Tynes.

God love them! Couldn’t be more stinking proud!

Give at least the owner of the Patriots, Mr. Robert Kraft CREDIT for coming up and congratuation Mr. Marra of the Giants.

I give him credit for turning a mediocre franchise into a world class organization. Kraft is a classy guy and I take my hat off to him, even though I usually root against his team. He's a good owner.

Eli Manning 2 Brady 0 Superbowl Wins.

Brady has dominated Peyton in the playoffs. I do hope that Peyton can return to the game, but I doubt that it will be in Indy.

That makes Eli Manning the better QB.

As for Brady and Tebow, Tebow won games, he lost some. I like him as a person better than Brady. I do not understand why people have to critize Tebow for praying. I do think that many want to see him fail because he is a devout Christian.

The SEC is all about great, great defenses and QBs that do not make mistakes. Its a good formula.
