WH: Women 'Deserve' to Have Catholic Church Buy Them Sterilizations...and Abortifacients
CNS News ^ | 02/06/2012 | Fred Lucas

Posted on 02/06/2012 2:39:51 PM PST by Pyro7480

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Monday that American women "deserve" to have their employers buy them health insurance plans that cover sterlizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives, including those that cause abortions, with no fees or co-pay, even if the employer is a Catholic or Catholic organization that adheres to the church teaching that sterilization, artificial contraception and abortifacients are morally wrong and that Catholics cannot be involved in them.

"I understand that there have been objections and that some people disagree with us and we are going to work with institutions that have concerns here," Carney told reporters. "But I think it's important to note here that we believe these services are important and that American women deserve to have access to that kind of insurance coverage regardless of where they work."

uh..no they shouldn’t have to pay the fine either.

The fine is a violation of the First Amendment too.

As a senator, Obama approved of the killing of abortion survivors. Yet Catholics cheerfully voted for him.
Where were the bishops then?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

My daughter taught math in a Texas K-8 Catholic school. All of the teachers and the principal voted for Obama, a man who voted three times to deny medical care to infants born alive after an abortion. My daughter was the only teacher whose students did not watch Obama’s inauguration but had regular math class instead.

I am a graduate of Villanova University ( 1974). For decades now, too many in Catholic leadership and education have worshiped Social Justice ( Liberation Theology) rather than God. Too many Catholic educators in the K-12 system are government school and public university graduates or have attended liberal Catholic colleges ( like Villanova).

There is a solution:

A freeper posted to me that there is a movement among conservative Catholics. They are forming independent one-room schools. Several families are getting together, hiring a teacher, and educating their own children in an environment that teaches a true Catholic worldview.

Sounds like a good idea for Catholics. It would be a good idea for all Christians. In just 10 to 12 years we could begin to see major changes in the culture.

Are they purposely trying to enrage Catholics and pro life folks to the point that Obama decides it’s time to call in the troops and round us up...and grab our property while they are at this?

This is a major chess move he just made.

There is an independent Catholic school like this over an hour from our house. But since this is impractical, we are homeschooling instead. We get together with our traditional Catholic homeschooling group for some classes and activities. Our oldest went to Catholic school, but we are going the homeschooling route for the remaining four. The people I have met so far in this homeschooling group are the real deal and follow the actual teachings of the Church. Selling Fair Trade Coffee after Mass is not their definition of being a Good Catholic.

If you think about it, it's a short next step for the drugs/procedures being forcefully made “freely available” by our government, to becoming “mandatory” by the same government.

I applaud the Catholic backlash. They should enjoy wide support from all citizens, religious or not, but we might be to far gone.

Can anyone name a single OPTIONAL prescription drug that is “free” to the patient?

But my sister said yesterday afternoon after attending Mass that she will be voting for Obama again because he hasn’t been given a fair chance (by evil Republicans)to make the changes this country needs.

It sure would be nice to see all Catholics ( yes all CINO's too) stand up and say, " No dice muzzie guy." In fact I'm willing to bet the Vatican has a real true story on Obama's real life, and a birth certificate....which hospitals did he say he was born again? The pope wants it he'll get it and he has a bit more power than hairpiece Trump.

I will stand with the Catholics if they grow a pair. Would be nice to see the biggest Christian church in the world lay down some of hat power.

Maybe that’s what it will have to take to get him to back off! After all, wasn’t it he who said that he would stand w/the Muslims if they were attacked? (or something like that)Hopefully, Muslims that are against all of this will give him holy H about this along with Catholics, other Christians, Jews, and those of good will among non-believers! I have even heard of many Wiccans and also those who are Athiests and Agnostics who are against abortion and contraceptives who might stand against this!

It is a drug intended to produce miscarriage. This results in a "medical" (as contrasted to "surgical") abortion.

A.K.A. "Plan B," "emergency contraception," "morning-afer pill."

I’ve never heard the word before.

I just wish more people would think before having sex.

There are too many unwanted children in this country who need a good home. There are too many STD’s floating around.(I’m talking about straight people, although homosexuals are far more diseased).

If people don’t want children then should use birth control or abstain. It’s very simple.
