“Why do these stories always say ‘one of the most influential evangelical leaders’ and you’ve never heard of the guy?”

You should’ve processed a thought before posting this. Just because you’ve never heard of him, why wouldn’t you consider the fact that hundreds of thousands of Baptists know exactly who he is?

And why is it again, that the Muslims get waivers?

The threat of beheading perhaps?

One tiny nit to pick, technically Baptists *aren’t* Protestant. (Though they aren’t Catholic either; kinda like how Orthodox isn’t either)

I blame the Vatican for this BS against the Catholic Church. Liberal leaders who happen to be Democrat politicians should have been excommunicated years ago for their stance on abortion, etc. Another thing to think about ... Is Obama's mandate against Christians a preface to accepting Sharia Law in the U.S.

Really most churches both the orange and the green have been letting themselves be bullied and have let wolves represent the churches in the media unchallanged. Examples, Revurund Jesse, Revurnd, Al, and one who was devoted his life to the elimination of GOD in public venues a Revurund Barry Lynn from the United Church of Christ of all names for a church firmly standing against freedom to worship. The liberal media has used these three and a few more like them as the spokespersons for Christianity and all Christian churches.

All churches need to use their power of excommunications especially against those making our laws claiming to be Christian in name but their actions in our most highest offices say otherwise. This isn't new. It certainly was going on in the 1960's when the Kennedy family were held too high esteem and almost worshiped. It's been going on when mobsters were given church burials as well.

Public Scorn and acceptable and expected standards of conduct needs to return too society. Our Founding Fathers knew our survival as a nation depended upon our natioanl morality and warned us of that. Still we should be merciful to the repented ones yes and those as well which honestly try but fall. Encourage and help such as them. But the blatant open ongoing rebellion to GOD should not be acceptable behavior in any church especially not by it's annointed/appointed leadership.

Time for Christians to wake up to the fact that the left is not just a bunch of misguided “lost”. They are actively anti-Christ. They want us eliminated, however that has to happen.

Make my day......

You should have processed that I’m not a Baptist and have never heard of him. I’m betting it’s the same for a lot of ‘evangelicals’. I’ve got nothing against him I’m just tired of these writers lumping evangelicals into one large group that somehow follows a couple of select people.

I support that stand! I hope all the Catholic bishops will be as brave.

If they actually do, it sounds like an unenforcable mandate and the Obama administration should expect a deluge of lawsuits.

I agree with you but most outsiders don't know that we were NEVER a part of the Catholic Church, and I didn't want to start another side track.

It may well come to this.

But then again, such tyranny and persecution was predicted long ago, in the Good Book. Fasten seatbelts. Hug your family members. Go to church, help your fellow man. Pray for the Country (and for the evil men to be confounded and vanquished). Get centered. Buy a copy of The US Constitution. Read THE GOOD BOOK. Stock up. Get ready. Be prepared.

Threatened excommunication of American political leaders (primarily Democrats) who would enforce or support this coercion against the RCC in the USA, needs to be issued from the Pope himself. I think that is the only effective shot against the bow. Santorum and Gingrich should both write a public, joint "sense of the candidates" letter to the Vatican, even fly there together and deliver it personally, and make it quite public. We could turn tens of millions of Americans on the Obama Administration and make them wish they had never, ever even considered doing this.

I have a hard time remembering who's a cardinal these days.

Lance Berkman is but Albert Pujols and Tony LaRussa no longer are. Don't blame you for not keeping up.

Maybe you’ve never heard of him, but as a Southern Baptist I know Dr. Land very well and I respect him and his stand for life!

Tru dat. I assume Duncan's gone if LaRussa is, and Pujols is the only free agent not to sign with the Marlins?
