So we are staking our hopes on a guy that couldn’t win his own seat in his own state?

HIS NATIONWIDE ONLINE DONATIONS ARE GOING THROUGH THE ROOF!!!

Just a little bit more, a win in Arizona or God willing, Michigan, and we can truly call him the GOP FRONTRUNNER. As it is, Santorum is the Conservative Frontrunner in my estimate.

Looks hopeless for Gingrich. Santorum will win nomination.

After SC, I told my wife that Santorum would never win.

I had to apologize.

If this poll was Monday-Thursday and most people weren’t aware of the Santorum Sweep until Tuesday night, expect an even greater surge in polls that are completely post-sweep.

Now that Santorum has the “mo”, it’s up to him to figure out how to sustain it.

It may also help Santorum that the Texas primary appears to be postponed until later in the spring or early summer over redistricting battles. It would likely had been a Gingrich win had it gone off the first week of April as planned but now that huge chunk of delegates is really up for grabs.

I would like to see a contest between Santorum and Gingrich.

In summary, the Wed-Thurs result:

Romney & Santorum - 30%
Gingrich - 16%
Paul - 15%

Romney can now conclude he has destroyed Gingrich, and be pleased to confront Santorum.
Just as Obama would be pleased to know he can confront Romney.

Have weak opponents if you want to win.
Among the blind the one-eyed man is king.

Make no mistake, Romney can easily beat Santorum.

The ‘fickle finger of fate’ is definitely prevalent amongst the GOP primary electorate this time. The before and after numbers for Santorum indicate that there isn't a single candidate in this field that can command get loyality from the voters.

It will be interesting to see what the Romney machine (and I am sure it is them and not obama, who is saving his ammunition for the Nominee)will use to sink this current closest contender.

My personal observations:
1. The Closest Contender to Romney (Palin, Bachman, Perry, Cain, and Newt, in succession)gets smeared with allegations that can’t be proven.
2. It happens on or close to the eve of a Straw poll, A Caucus, or a Primary
3. It is always something of a salacious nature

Just sayin’

to paraphrase, “This Santorum that sails against us,
carries in its heart the Inquisition.
God forbid it succeeds,
for then there will be no more liberty in America
of conscience or of thought.”

Santorum is a dullard. He’s Perry Como without the sleeves. Italian. Mediocre. Air of moral superiority.

Santorum’s record is like a pro-life Democrat’s, from south Chicagoland. (Big-Union)

What's truly astonishing is none of these guys that I can tell (except Paul, who's rightly called a "moonbat" for other reasons) are talking about CUTTING GOVERNMENT even though we are on the precipice of a multi-trillion-dollar debt abyss.

How is this possible? We MUST have tax cuts. But they cannot be sustained without MAJOR CUTS IN GOVERNMENT starting with CUTTING ENORMOUS WASTE, USELESS CABINET DEPARTMENTS (most of them), and A LOT OF "ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS" (NOT defense, a legitimate government activity, even though our whole defense and intelligence capabilities need an overhaul because of 25 years of mismanagement since Reagan).

How can we not have one guy with his head screwed on straight talking about this stuff? Maybe we really are in the Final Days and God is starting to allow things accordingly.
