NEW YORK (AP) -- Comedy Central's "Colbert Report" is off the air and it's a mystery why.
An expected live version of the show was replaced by a repeat on Wednesday. Comedy Central said Thursday's live show will be off, too.
The network said it was airing the repeats "due to unforeseen circumstances," but offered no other explanation.

Here in NY, there are a bunch of “Cold bugs” going around... and the accompanying Laryngitis makes one sound like a tenor BULLFROG. It could be just that simple, or ... comedy central FORGOT that Colbert is a “character” and FIRED him in a Conservative PURGE???
Odd that this coincides with the unnamed Whitehouse staffer that had his fingers amputated :^)
if he is “running for President” then the other candidates should all get equal time.

Maybe they’re revamping the show in an effort to make it “funny.”
He had a sketch that poked a little good natured fun at Obama. Now Colbert sleeps with the fishes.
I’m not a fan (to put it mildly), but I wish the man no harm. Hope he’s OK.

Yep — I have it (Dallas, TX). My wife had something different (coughs and sneezes), but I got a killer sore throat and the bullfrog voice to go with it.
Thank God I am telecommuting and was at home anyway.
He was just on Jimmy Fallon the other night and appeared fine. ?
I don’t get the Comedy Channel, so I’ve never seen his show.
I hated everything about it, so that’s no problem to me.
Maybe he’s getting his right ear fixed so it matches his left.
I’ve never seen an entire show. Am I missing anything?
Oh well, that's life I guess.
Somwhere between two and three dozen viewers in the nation will be disappointed.
Never missed it.
Never watched it.
