Hasn’t the MSM been telling us Obama’s mandate was hugely popular?

Washington (CNN) – Half of all Americans say they oppose the Obama administration’s new policy concerning employer-provided health insurance plans and their coverage of contraceptive services for female employees including those at religiously affiliated institutions, according to a new national survey.

The push by the White House has been sharply criticized by Catholic Church officials, and many political pundits have said that the controversy could hurt President Barack Obama’s re-election chances with Catholic voters. But a CNN/ORC International poll released Thursday also indicates that the vast majority of Catholic Americans say they don’t always follow church teachings on such issues as abortion and birth control, and few Americans Catholics believe artificial means of birth control are wrong.

According to the survey, 50% of the public disapproves of the Obama administration policy, with 44% saying they approve of the plan.

50% To 44% Margin…

Seems like we've remained close to the tipping point for so long, but we seem to be getting closer to the Titanic actually flipping and going belly up.

The next Obamacare mandate that Obama is going to push on the Catholic institutions is assisted suicide.

If Obama can force the Catholic Church to fund contraceptives and abortion pills, can assissted suicide be far behind?

Good point.

If this is a CNN poll, the numbers are more likely 75% oppose.

What gives Obama the right to force insurance companies to pay for contraceptives anyway? If the insurance company chooses to cover the cost of contraceptives, fine. But they shouldn’t be forced to pay for them if they don’t want to whether it be for religious reasons or not.

I heard a further breakdown of those numbers and the % of Catholics opposed is 60%.

Given that probably includes CINO, those are not bad numbers.

Of course.

Next up, disabled children and adults.

Then, undesirables of all definitions.

1930s may just turn out to be child’s play.

Even if 1% of Americans believe the government can force the church to do things against its beliefs, it’s a travesty. Those “Americans” are a disgrace.

Don’t worry about this poll. CNN probably asked their male staffers if they were in favor of Obama’s “man-date” program. They were pretty much in favor, then the questioner mentioned taking a “pole” and it sealed the deal.

Who gives a **** if they approve?! The damn thing is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

If there were journalists in this nation who really KNEW the Constitution, and the history of totalitarianism, the results of this poll would be very very different.

Sadly, the world of journalism is now populated with children who use “google” and “wikipedia” as authoritative resources and who couldn’t tell you who wrote the Federalist papers or tell you why Adam Smith is important.

These are kids who have been taught a “formula” to put together any given news item—and they regurgitate the pablum fed to them by academia.

To those of you on the East Coast, this might not sound like a logical progression, but in WA State, we have assisted suicide that was passed by the Democrat controlled legislature in preparation for Obamacare rationed services.

The subject of forcing the Catholic hospitals to participate was quite a big issue and still comes up every once in awhile in our town, where the only hospital is St. Joseph’s.

So, whenever the subject comes up of requiring Catholic institutions to provide free contraception and abortion pills, ask the question, are you going to force them to provide coverage for assisted suicide, as well.

RE: Americans Oppose Obama’s Contraception Mandate By 50% To 44% Margin…

The 44% is already worrisome. But the 6% who have no opinion on the issue, when added to the 44%, just shows that HALF of Americans don’t care about the the first amendment.

When half of this country have this attitude, it does not bode well at all.

None, of course. Scary that this is a textbook example of a Soviet-style Command Economy...

I was thinking the next thing “forced” on the public would be mandatory birth control. I could totally see Obama and his Nazi Dem worshippers feeing they have the authority and mandate to decree who gets to have a child and who doesn’t and oh,,,you have to pay off the DNC first or you’ll be forced to have a D&C
