A 29-year-old Moroccan man who authorities say wanted to be the first suicide bomber on U.S. soil was arrested Friday after strapping on what he thought was an explosive vest and heading for the U.S. Capitol, CBS News' John Miller reports.

The Justice Department announced that El Khalifi was charged "by criminal complaint with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction against property that is owned and used by the United States." He faces life in prison if convicted.

Imagine my shock when it turned out this guy isn’t Amish!
There are perhaps over 10,000 other radicalized Muslims living in this country. The attempts at terrorism will continue. Freedom of religion works against safety of innocent civilians in this case.

According to Fox News, the suspect has been living in the United States illegally since 1999 after his visa expired. He first entered the country that year on a tourist visa, which expired and was never renewed.
But the MSM and Lefty Libs have been telling us for years that the War On Terror is a made-up fiction by the right.

Islam will be either the first or the second greatest destroyer of "freedom of religion" in America. I say either the first or the second because Marxist-socialism, now being more swiftly embedded into the American political agenda than ever before, is in close competition with Islam.
There are already cities where Muslims will, with apparent impunity and even with protection from authorities, harass and bodily harm Christian evangelists who enter certain areas preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
OR . . . are Islam and Marxist-socialism in cahoots together for the destruction of the United States of America?
Several years ago there were posters even here on Free Republic that, for, they said, "religious liberty" reasons, condemned Christians for stating that we should work harder than ever to convert Muslim young people to Jesus Christ by personal evangelism on the streets, in the parks, in the schools, at bowling alleys and entertainment centers, everywhere.
As an evangelistic Christian I would here reiterate the call to evangelize Muslims in this country, first of all, believing that Christ died to pay the sin debt of each Muslim just as certainly as He died for me ; Jesus Christ deserves the fruits of His sufferings in the conversion of Muslims, for the Glory of Christ above the rescue of a soul.
Secondly, for the rescue of the souls of Muslims from the bondage of of Islam, both eternal and temporal.
Thirdly, for the sparing of our beloved Nation from the ravages of Islam, the bloodiest, cruelest, most devil-possessed religion in the history of man.
Seven years ago, after six full years in missionary work in Asia, I was on a hunt for sound, Bible-based Gospel literature written to help Muslims find Christ. I found very little at that time.
I returned to Asia for almost five more years, and returned not long ago. On this furlough I have come across two Baptist ministries educating local churches about the positions and dangers of Islam, and providing a limited variety of Gospel literature for distribution among Muslims.
I appeal to Bible-believing Christians on this forum and elsewhere to become more fervent than ever in the business of personal evangelism. We need to not neglect Muslims, regardless of how hard and reticent they present themselves. I still recommend approaching Muslim youth, wherever they can be found, and offering the Gospel of Christ to them with tender compassion, but with Holy Ghost boldness and fervency.
Bringing Muslim youth to Jesus Christ and seeing them delivered from Islam is worth enduring the accusation that we are somehow disrespecting the Muslim family order. I guarantee you, Muslims would not care one moment for any Christian family order if they had the chance to radicalize our young people.
The safety of the Muslim soul is found only in their repentance from Islam and their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The safety of our Nation is to be found in the conversion of Muslims to Jesus Christ by the preaching of the Gospel.
Doesn't matter. This is already being portrayed as home grown terrorism, and in the future will be used as a justification to crack down on the citizens that our rulers fear more and more each day.

Your goals are highly commendable. However my guess is the results will disappoint. Do you know of any country during last 13 centuries (since beginning of Islam) which was successful in converting Muslims to Christianity or any other religion for that matter? Are you aware that renouncing your Islamic faith is subject to a fatwa? I am not aware of any country where Muslim population actually shrank for whatever reason.
Newt clearly hasn’t made up his mind on the subject, but the one thing he has been consistent in, he will not enforce the law (build a border fence, deport illegals, sanctions against companies hiring illegals), but the latest rhetoric has been all over the map.

There's no need to separate them from their families, Newt....they can take them along when they return home. That’s the same reason I could not and would not EVER support Slick Willard Romney, so why should I give Newt a pass.
In my opinion, this too should be a disqualifier for both candidates. If laws matter, then you do not reward one who broke the law with amnesty or pretending they didn’t. If you’re here illegally, you didn’t respect the law in the first place and surrendered any “rights” when you left your country of origin.
That would have required them to have actually paid a debt in the first place. Squatting here for 25 years isn’t “paying a debt to society”. Newt and Perry were offering “path-to-citizenship” blanket amnesty for those who broke the law, which goes against what the voters of Georgia, Oklahoma, Arizona and other states have worked hard to get passed into law. Self-deportation and applying for citizenship with no criminal record is a way to become “legal” again, and anything less is amnesty.
Besides, foreigners who broke the law to get here or get shot in the process of smuggling drugs or invaders across the border should have zero legal standing to sue in American courts.
There isn’t anything complex about it. If I broke into your house, and took one of your bedrooms as my own, you’d call law enforcement to remove me from your property. Newt says if I stay long enough before law enforcement has an opportunity to remove me, I can claim your property as my own, and you should pay for me to move the rest of my family in.
Citzenship for those who chose to break the law means that only some laws matter, others are meant to be broken. The illegal invaders are not going to “go to the back of the line” when there is zero encouragement to do so. I've heard Newt and others like him say, "An open path to citizenship is not Amnesty."

A 'path to citizenship' for someone who has repeatedly broken the law is amnesty.
Newt’s "comprehensive" plan is nothing more than the same closet amnesty Bush proposed....empty words with ZERO enforcement. A couple of raids, a trip to the border for a quick photo op, and it’s back to BUSINESS AS USUAL. They’re not going to “go to the back of the line” when ther is zero encouragement to do so.
If you’re here illegally, it doesn’t matter if you committed the crime yesterday or anytime since 1986, you broke the law and should not be allowed to stay or gain citizenship. You think deporting illegals won’t work? It worked for Eisenhower with less manpower...
I guess the “professor” doesn’t learn from history. You just have to put someone in charge with the ‘stones’ to get it done instead of making excuses for not enforcing the laws already on the books. Enforcing the laws already on the books (including the border fence) would be good start in making the job easier. NO MORE AMNESTY!

I would never matter what we believe the to be the chance of success ; it is the command of the Lord Jesus Christ to "GO" and preach the Gospel to every creature. The reasons were outlined in my post.
Any genuine Christian involved on FR knows his responsibility to the unconverted (Muslim or otherwise). Some of them who would be reading this, however, are (1) too stinking worldly to be concerned about the task ; (2) too indoctrinated by the false teaching often found on this forum that a conservative oriented economy is the answer to all of our nations ills ; (3) under the un-biblical impression that it is the responsibility of a professional Christian clergy to do all the evangelism ; (4) believe that spending all of their time on a computer and posting comments on FR and other similar forums will get the job done.
Never before in history has Islam been confronted in a country remotely similar to ours with fervent evangelistic endeavor aimed at their young people. This should be a major effort of all churches and denominations that claim to be "evangelical" or "evangelistic."
