Mitt Romney is Attempting to Destroy the Republican Party
Business Insider ^ | February 17, 2012 | JD Rucker

[Big SNIP]

....If Romney can't win, he'll be certain that the person who beat him is so damaged, so beaten up by his negative campaign ads that they will have no chance against Obama. Unfortunately for Republicans, it creates a lose-lose situation.

Mitt Romney cannot defeat Obama. His flipping and flopping is well documented and will be highlighted by the Obama campaign as the signature of one with a lack of character. He is such a poor speaker in interviews that he attempted to appeal to the middle class by trying to bet Rick Perry $10,000 and later saying that, “I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I’ll fix it.”

If something is not a concern, it won't be fixed.

The statement was not intended to downplay the troubles of the unfortunate in America, nor was his bet with Rick Perry an attempt to point out that he has the ability to offer 3-months of an average worker's salary on a whimsical wager. His intended meanings are likely (relatively) pure but his inability to stop putting his foot in his mouth will get him demolished against Obama's buzz machine.

They won't have to destroy Romney. They just have to wait around long enough for him to destroy himself.

Leading up to the next primaries, Romney's team will go on the offensive against Santorum. If Paul or Gingrich make up ground, he will attack them as well. He does not have enough good ideas to lift himself as the rightful Republican candidate, so he's trying to destroy everyone else to make himself the reluctant choice by default.

“Plenty of reasons to not like mittens. His religion has nothing to do with any of them.”

Totally agree. Like you said, there are plenty of reasons not to choose Romney as your candidate, but making his religion one of them, is small minded at best, bigoted at worse. He has as much chance of proselytizing Mormonism from the White House, as Donny and Marie did from their TV show.

Who cares. Its enough that he’s a poster rino. I have a lot more issues with fake religious people who try to say it doesnt effect their positions, like kerry or pelosi.

Dont support romney because hes a lying sack of excrement. Focusing on his religion says more about you than him and isnt going to convince anyone not to vote for him.

Focusing on his religion...isn't going to convince anyone not to vote for him.

Not true.

I printed out this article posted on FR (Mitt and the White Horse Prophecy) and gave it to a friend and she is still printing out copies and passing them out (over 30 so far). Everyone who has read it says that, because of this article alone, they will never vote for Mitt

Some of that unease that America feels with Mitt, is a sense that something is going on in there that isn't good for us, something which we would not like, there is a faint, almost imperceptible sense of a darkness in Mitt Romney, a cold, total, absolute focus on his own internal purpose, which is unknowable to us and is separate from ours and our nations.

Between Mitt Romney and Obama, who would you prefer?

Mitt is not just a mere Mormon. He is the great, great grandson of Parley Pratt, one of the original leaders of the LDS and an original member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles.

Mitt is something of a high priest and is consider by many Mormons to be the fulfillment of prophecy...a savior who will bring about a Mormon theocracy in America.

obama is the kettle calling romney black. Obama have flip flopped and lied on more issues than romney
**********************
Problem is that the vast majority of Obama’s voters don’t pay any attention to politics or the issues, so they will just automatically vote for him because he’s black (actually around 1/4 black).

Jay Leno’s “Jay Walking”, where he asks folks on the sidewalks near Universal Studios in Burbank CA should give the clues that most people on the streetways are just disconnected from politics. ...Sad thing is that they vote.

Between Romney and Obama, Obama is preferable.

Obama will be impeached.

Romney will implement the same path, and it will
be accepted.

RINOs and the GOP establishment demand that we hold our noses and vote for any candidate with an R behind their name. However, they are the least willing to vote for a GOP candidate they don’t like.

>>Its delussional to say hes part of a 171 year co.spiracy to destroy america.<<

Have you ever read their prophecy for coming in and “saving America” because the Constitution “hangs by a thread”? Here is ansel12’s quote “at least in the way and for the reasons that we like America”. Notice the statement “for the reasons that we like America”? There is a reason ansel12 used that.

I was just telling some friends last night how Romney was single handedly destroying things. At first they looked at me wide eyed (they are conservatives), but then agreed when I explained myself.

The party base, and the party itself are in jeopardy because of this man.

He can't win running on his record, so he goes on negative rampages against anyone who challenges him in the polls. We got a push poll call late yesterday from his PAC. Man it was ugly (this time about Santorum).

Your #5 was well stated.

There really IS something creepy about Mitt and you may have provided some clues.

That man just does not communicate honesty in anything he says or does. He’s more like a Huckabee snake oil salesman.

I know all about the “high priest” scare. There has been a chain of e-mails about it going back as long as the deadly toilet seat spider scare, or the AIDS needle on the theater seat. And still too many gullible people that fall for for them all. Mitt being classified as a high priest may be true, but it does not deserve the panic it is getting.

This from a researcher on the issue:

“Pretty much any active male over the age of 50 can be a High Priest,” said Scott Gordon, president of the Foundation for Apologetic Information & Research. It's extremely common.
‘High Priest’ sounds strange to people outside the Mormon Church,” “But in fact it's a very common office. There are easily 100,000 or maybe more High Priests in the church.
Mormon congregations in every city in the country typically have several High Priests”.

I'm not a Mormon, but the position pretty much sounds like an “Elder”, like in our churches. Can we please get back to the issues that make Mitt the least desirable candidate?

Romney is the uber-Mormon. It matters greatly...much more that his RINO-ness.

Read this article posted on FR and see if you don't agree...
