It is well known within LENR circles that Australian Entrepreneur, Dick Smith, is scathing of Andrea Rossi’s eCat claims. After Rossi refused his offer of a $1m (US) challenge, he extended that offer to Greek company Defkalion GT who are making similar claims. Mr Smith’s offer was an attempt to expose the fraud he is certain these people are perpetrating.

In other news, the public testing by "seven well-known labs" was supposed to have started yesterday (2/24), but there has been no public information of any sort released. This is in contradiction to their earlier promises to release both the test protocols and the identities of the "well-known labs" prior to the beginning of testing.
I notice that they are now stating that the "well-known" labs have the option of keeping their identities secret. So, I guess we would just have to take Defkalion's word that they were "well-known" labs... or that there were any labs at all.
If proven then Obama would not be the eCatastrophe that we think.

I’m not at all surprised that Rossi and Defkalion came up with excuses as to why they couldn’t take the $1,000,000. I find it especially laughable that Rossi—a man with no known source of income, who supposedly sold his house to raise funds—”doesn’t need the money.”
The investors? take over Leonardo Corp. so if any money comes in they'll be able to dip their beaks a little. Who knows, maybe Big Blue, the Elephant in the warehouse will be sold (and delivered!).
But Dick Smith could use his million bucks to just buy a 1 Mw e-cat, couldn't he? Therein lies the problem, we already know the only one in existence won't produce 1 Mw.

Meanwhile, Rothwell has made numerous statements claiming "certain knowledge" that they are legitimate, but he refuses to name any of his sources, so we are expected to rely totally on his "say-so".
He, of course, has also committed to Rossi's demos being legitimate, so if either one turns out to be a fraud, his credibility will be shot.
He's going to revolutionize energy.
Ten years from now nobody will need gasoline or oil or coal or nuclear or anything.
