I realize that you have been lead to believe that Santorum is a “solid” social conservative, but even that is a big stretch job.
Santorum voted to remove legal protections from pro-life demonstrators that demonstrate at abortuaries. That is not something that a solid social conservative would do.

I have told you I prefer Newt to Rick. However, I do not question his, Santorum’s, Social Conservative bonafides.
LONG before this election, and any hint he was running for pres, Rick Santorum was often featured on Focus on the Family. Also, he has been heartily endorsed by Dr. James Dobson who practically sets the mark for social/moral conservatism. Dobson has never been one to “compromise” on an endorsement either. Dobson WOULD NOT endorse a wishy washy candidate. So, unless you are so much more knowledgeable on the big picture than James Dobson (rhetorical question - you ARE NOT) your calling Santorum a “fake” is so much uninformed or biased baloney.
Now that being said, I again emphasize that I think Newt is the better (more balanced) candidate and I hope he pulls it out during Super Tuesday. However, I will not abide someone ridiculing the “real deal” social conservative like Santorum. IF you want to blast him on other areas....well he has holes. But lay off calling him a “fake” on Social Conservatism or on implying or stating he is just an opportunist. The man is sincere, just as Newt is.

I consider Dobson to be a questionable Christian at best. He tends toward ecumenism, which is totally contra-Biblical. Focus on the Family is a wealth aglomerating organization, with excessive investment in its own offices and comforts, and spends massively on a pointless radio program.
Santorum was himself a pro-choicer well into the ‘90s. Your wishes will not change that fact.

The only thing in this statement with any “truth” is that Dobson is ecumenical. The other stuff is just over the top extremism opinion. Only God can judge if the Radio Program is “pointless.” Whether you want to acknowledge it or not, Dobson is (or was before retirement) a recognized leader of Conservative Christian Evangelicals. If he had “bad picks” it was because they were Social Conservatives first....which doesn’t go well with this secular society we live in.
What in the world are you? Do you live the austere lifestye you say Dobson should?

I have never heard anything from Dobson that would indicate that he believes anything other than “Genuine faith in Jesus Christ (God the Son) ALONE is the basis for salvation.” He doesn't preach salvation by works, sacrements, etc. Faith Alone in Christ Alone - that is it (of course Repentance of Sin is concurrent with this). That is the essence of the Gospel. There is NO OTHER GOSPEL. I have never heard Dobson push anything that is a “false representation.” So, I don't have a clue what you are talking about...it certainly isn't the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Now do I areas of theological/doctrinal disagreement with him - yes, but nothing that would brand him as a "false representation." You must also think Billy Graham to have been a "false representation."

There is no way that I, as a conservative Evangelical Southern Baptist (a Calvinistic one to boot), am going to act as an apologist for Roman Catholicism. However, I see no need to dialogue with someone that just wants to vent against them either. I have areas of strong disagreement with Roman Catholics...but see no point in dwelling on that now (my beef with you are your caluminies against Dobson which are indefensible). Roman Catholics ARE NOT a cult. They don’t meet the definition...they have a proper understanding of the Triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). Mormons do not understand the Triune nature of God (the dead give away for cults - they attack the Trinity in some form). Your attempted lame use of Hebrew for the name of God is not impressive. However, your failure to be Christo-Centric is troubling. Are you a Jehovah’s Witness (another cult) or Seventh Day Adventist (borderline - used to be cultic).

I’m well aware that Joseph Smith stole many of his temple rituals from free masonry....he was the L. Ron Hubbard flim flam man of the 19th Century. Son, I have been aware of Mormon errors and theology since the 70s.
I’m not going to get into a contest with you on who best knows scripture, except to say I don’t just “read it”, I actually understand it (for the most part - it would be horrible arrogance to say I comprehend it all - but the “essentials” of Christianity - most definitely.)
IF you cannot discern, with your self professed “knowledge” of scripture, that Mormonisn is a legitimate threat to the souls of men....then you really are the one that needs to spend more time “studying” scripture...not just reading it. Reading without comprehension could be called a “vain repetition.”
Bottom line - Santorum’s Roman Catholicism DOES NOT keep him from being a social conservative. Romney is a highly active/devout member of an insidious cult and should never hold high office.

Interesting that you would say that. Our “salvation” comes through Faith Alone in Christ Alone....as scripture says, if reference to the Lord Jesus Christ, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
A I have pointed out, you seem to lack a Christo-centric theology. In John 8:58 The Lord Jesus said, “Jesus said unto them,Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was I AM.”
He was using the divine title delivered to Moses...”I AM” the “God who is.” In the Greek version of the O.T. it reads “I AM”, which Christ was quoting. That is the source of the devine name Jehovah or Yahweh...we really don’t know how it was pronounced because the Jews were so afraid of saying His name in vain, they didn’t. And since Hebrew is all consonants in a “shorthand” form...we just don’t know what the name sounds like. However, it does not matter because Jesus said He is the great I AM. That is all I need to know. Jesus IS God. So, I don’t know what strange sect you are associated with, but you don’t understand scripture or the Lord well. Jesus is the source of Salvation....not the ability to know what the original Hebrew name God used....we don’t know what it is. In fact many times O.T. scribes would substitute “Elohim” (Lord) for the devine title...because they feared to speak his name.
You really need to seek out a legitimate Christian denomination. I truly don’t mean to be insulting, but you come across as “scary” like Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, and other Pseudo-Christian cults.
