March 6 VA Republican Presidential Primary, your 4 voting options

On March 6th, the Republican Party of Virginia will be holding its Presidential Primary at your local polling precincts. Polls open just like regular voting times, 6am to 7pm.

You have 4 choices: Vote for Romney, vote for Paul, stay home/don’t vote or show up and do an “undervote”.

Please do go to the polls and vote, if possible. More votes at the poll show more Republican strength.

An undervote allows you to vote (in person or absentee) by showing up, pressing the VOTE button without choosing either candidate. Some might consider it a “protest vote” or a “blank” vote, if you choice is not on the ballot but it counts as a vote in the Republican primary, without adding a vote to either candidate on the ballot.

You are NOT allowed to do a write-in in a Virginia Primary.

Just reposting this to get it in the "US: Virginia (News/Activism)" category.

There are other options to Romney and Paul. Don't forget to vote today and encourage others, as well. It will probably be a relatively "small" turnout with just these 2 on the ballot.

Stay home or vote Paul—that's the only way to show those GOP establishment RINO Mitt whores in Richmond how real Virginians think about their treacherous disenfranchisement of the Commonwealth’s conservatives!

Just can't talk the (elderly) folks into 'Going Rogue Ron" today! They'll be staying home since they really do not like Mitt. I would think a small turnout would favor Paul(?). I guess we'll find out this evening!

Voting for Ron Paul is one way of showing the RINO's what we think of Romney, but I don't think I can look myself in the mirror knowing I voted for Ron Paul even in a primary election.

Well then maybe you should stay home--I know that sounds bad too but this time it's excusable.

A real low turnout, especially in a big Commonwealth like Virginia, will damn Mitt with faint praise.

I held my nose and voted for Roach Gall this morning. It gave a sense of satisfaction of sticking it to the RINOs. But it also left me with an apalling sense of regret of what things have come to. In spite of that I still say go to the polls and stick it to them.

Also, if you see someone collecting signatures for Bob Marshall, please sign the form. Remember how hard it is to get 10,000 signatures — that’s what Bob is doing to get on the senate ballot.

I will keep an eye out for anyone getting sigs for Bob Marshall. He has done a great job standing up for conservatives in the General Assembly. Go Bob!!!

The four options in any two-man race are to vote:
for A
for B
against A
against B

I voted against Romney and the Republican establishment that backs him out of political self interest. I’m so sick of establishment Republicans. Staying home or voting ‘present’ doesn’t show them anything. If you live in Virginia or any super Tuesday state, get out and vote for or against somebody.

dudes, the obvious vote for Freepers is ronPaul. The fact that freepers don’t see this is bizarro.

PS if you were a Redskins fan and they were battling the Seahawks for a wildcard spot, and the Seahawks were playing the last place 4-10 Cowboys, would you root for the Cowboys? Or would you say “I never want the Cowboys, our archrivals, to win.”

ronPaul is in last place.

The smart move for ronPaul woulda been to change his delegate slate to include some NEWT & RICK supporters so that the incentive to vote for the Paul delegates would be more obvious.

Too bad you can’t vote for ‘none of the above.’

The ballots in my neck of the Virginia woods are paper. You fill in the oval and then feed it into a scanner.

I tried to feed a blank and it rejected so I voted for Paul as a slap in Mitt’s face.

I could never bring myself to vote for Paultard. He’s nutty and his backing by the Occutards is just proof that he’s a liberal not a conservative. His understanding of the constitution is about as good as his understanding of foreign affairs.

No way I will ever support this old fool.

I would do neither. Stay home? No way.
Vote for Paul? Hell no.

I would cross out Ron Paul’s name and write in Newt Gingrich instead. If they don’t provide a place to do a write in I would do it that way.

THAT is how you protest such a ballot.

I hate Paul as much as I do Romney. More in fact. Paul is a truther and an anti-America hater. He blames America for all the hate that we get from Islam. I can’t even hold my nose and vote for him. The man is evil and I don’t support evil in any way, shape, or form.

If you do it as you say it will be as if you didn't vote anyway...

...but if you enjoy driving for it's own sake have fun.

That’s all well and good, but our goal here is to win. If we allow Romney delgates in Virginia, that’s less for Newt.

Sometimes you have to vote strategically as well.

But many are too dense to get that.

I understand the concept. I really do. But I’m glad I don’t have to decide between the establishment RINO and the hate America truther. If voting for the TRUE lesser of two evils is all you have then you’re still stuck voting for evil.

Paul is NOT a Republican and neither is Mitt. But Paul is a libertarian who is a truther, is supported by the Occutards, blames America for attacks by our enemies, published anti-semite news papers, is supported by the Neo-Nazi’s and KKK and is as liberal as Obama in my opinion. In fact I believe that Paul is helping Romney under the covers. Why has Paul attacked every other candidate but Romney? He’s helping Romney get the nomination so that we wind up having Obama for another 4 years.

Glad I live in Iowa where we allowed all candidates on the ballot.
