PALM BEACH, Fla. – After national controversy over his calling a Georgetown University law student a “slut” and “prostitute,” radio giant Rush Limbaugh says he has brand-new sponsors lined up to advertise on his program, and some who had canceled are now asking to return.
“We have three brand-new sponsors that will be starting in the next two weeks,” Limbaugh said this afternoon, adding he was not going to identify them today.
Two of the sponsors who have canceled have asked to return. We are being very careful about that. I’m not gonna give you any names here. One of them is practically begging to come back.”
There have been reports among some news agencies that at least 40 advertisers have abandoned Limbaugh’s top-rated program since the furor involving Sandra Fluke’s push for insurance-covered birth control erupted last week, but Limbaugh said those news outlets are not being honest.
“Because they lie, and because they don’t understand how it works,” he said. “Everything is fine on the business side. Everything is cool. There is not a thing to worry about. Whatever you’re seeing on television about this program and sponsors and advertisers is just incorrect.”

I too am Catholic and it doesn’t look to me like the church is going to drop this thing. It’s been covered in my mass the last four Sundays with vigor from the pulpit.
I’ll say it again...Alinsky’s rules might work well when instituted behind the scenes while the rest of us are busy carrying this country on our backs and raising the soldiers and citizens of tomorrow.
But once it gets silly we stop and take a look and the sound bytes....ie Republicans want to keep women pregnant and barefoot....don’t carry the day as was the intent.
They walk a fine line with Alinsky.
It’s like children. One child surreptitiously keeps smacking another child while mother is not looking. The torment continues and mother swats the air and tells the children to behave.
Push this kind of sneaky behavior too much and Mom gets suspicious and starts to pay more attention.
Heh. Nobody in this country thinks it’s okay for Bill Maher to call Palin a Slut while carrying on like screaming hyenas over a similar Rush Limbaugh comment. They kinda hope the Bill Maher thing would go under the radar and it would most times as the Lamestream media plays along with the “children” and their sneaky game.
But you really can’t be too absurd about it....that’s the rub with the Alinsky pact.
Alinsky is about FOOLING people if you note.
It’s hard to fool people if they’re paying close attention and this little game of pulling some activist woman out of the air to testify before congress about her very active sex life and the cost of her contraceptives is not playing to sympathetic ears in Peoria.
No one would be proud of their daughter, sister or Mama doing such a thing and good bunch of them agree with Rush’s assessment. Add the Bill Maher thing which maybe those in Peoria didn’t know much about, add a few Lamestream seeing this whole thing as too big to try to cover the elephant in the room....I say...

NEXT time they try to orchestrate some fake thing the public once fooled looks on with raised skeptical eyebrows.
I’m so happy the Obama team tried to ram this past us though I was quite nervous for a while, scared silly that they would finally bring down Rush.

Imus used to be funny long ago, I remember him getting booted off some Southern stations when he angered some Fundamentalists with his “Roght Reverend Dr Billy Sol Hargus” routine. That was Imus’s style, making fun of every concievable group.
Well there is quite a difference between Fluke and the women’s college basket ball team or Laura Ingram. Neither the b-ball team or Laura Ingram had gone public with a whine over wanting someone else to subsidize their social sex life.
I would have given Rush a pass for saying once, but he went on for three days about. That was his mistake, not the first use of the label.

Go ahead search my user name in here to The Constitution Party. Look up the "Why I can't vote for Bush" threads from 2000 I think it was.
I don't agree with Ron Paul on Defense nor most foreign policy issues as well. For those reasons I can't vote for him. I voted for Santorum last Tuesday not that it is any of your business. I will vote Constitution Party again if Romney gets the GOP nod. How about you?
And remind us again just who you voted for in 2000 and 2004?
