David fruit fly Suzuki goes ballistic, and advocates retracting all rights from skeptics. Im mentioned as some sort of baddie central, but at least I dont dress up with Santa Claus to scare the kids and ask their parents to send me money. Wheres that DDT when you need it?
From the Huffington Post:
This public responsibility is especially important in light of the stepped-up efforts to deny the reality of climate change, or the role humans play in it. Cases in point are illustrated by the denialgate scandal revealed by the release of Heartland Institute documents and the revelation that Ottawas Carleton University hired Tom Harris, a PR man for a number of astroturf groups with a mechanical engineering background, to teach a course on climate change.
There are many credible sources of information, and they arent blog sites run by weathermen like Anthony Watts, or industry-funded fake science organizations. One place to start is at Skeptical Science. Click on the tab that says Arguments for scientific responses to all the main climate change denier talking points.

Apparently, Ive irritated the fruit fly. WUWT must be having an effect then. In truest fashion, he cant be bothered to name the website much less link to it, but it is nice to see that Im irritating him.
Anthony
UPDATE: It seems all is not well in Fruit Fly land. His foundation website doesnt even register on Alexa.com due to it having a traffic rank greater than 100K. Lower number is better: (see graphs at link) Must really bite when a web site run by some evil denier TV weatherguy kicks your butt in your own country. WUWT actually does more than twice as well in Canada as Suzuki.
Maybe I should send him some denier swarms to boost traffic.
The first title wasn't really descriptive of the article and I didn't want to post a HuffPo title so I hope the moderators will understand.

This is once how those who believed the earth was flat, dealt with skeptics.
When you don’t have the facts....pound the table.... and GAG the witness!
Thanks Jack Hydrazine.
IOW, Suzuki has no professional training in climate “science”. It would seem that a weatherman (meteorologist), such as Watt, is more qualified to discuss climate matters. Also, Suzuki clearly implies that a mechanical engineer is not qualified to discuss climate — even though the engineer probably had a more rigorous training in mathematics than Suzuki had.
I hope that someone takes it on as a project to put up an Engineering and Scientific Achievement Hour website.....
I proceeded to inform him that SkepticalScience, along with the guy who runs it (John Cook), was just another of many propaganda outlets perpetuating the myth of AGW. I also commented that to rely on this website as a source of "proof" was laughable.
He’s still bringing up the Gleick forgery as if it’s legitimate??? Who’s the denier, Suzuki???
Suzuki spent part of his childhood during WW II in a detainment camp for enemy aliens. Maybe something happened to his brain there.
Sillllllly
When I was growing up in Canuckistan, Suzuki was and is still the craziest “perfessor” they could find at the anti-American CBC.
Still remembered him on one episode explaining that the waves of the ocean was due to....’the heat coming from distant populations across the ocean’.
It was absolute sh*t.
But he seems so nice on his tv programs! LOL!
Yeah, he looks like your school gardener but when he starts explaining stuff on Nature’, it’s like listening to a mental patient.
The best part is when it comes to the segments about “humans vs nature” or “corporations ruin mother earth”, he starts getting angry and drooling like a diseased dog. That gave us laughs back in high school.
“Yeah, he looks like your school gardener but when he starts explaining stuff on Nature, its like listening to a mental patient.”
Like the teacher from Beavis and Butthead?
Is he the same guy who did that preachy 'nature stuff' on TV and wanted to send AWG 'skeptics' to prison a few years ago?
Hummm. I'm thinking he's a Gobbles kind of guy here. "My way or the gas chamber" kind of stuff.
