GE rejects Republicans’ climate change doubts
Financial Times ^ | 11 March 2012 | Pilita Clark

General Electric has brushed aside the doubts leading Republican presidential contenders have raised about climate science.

The US industrial and financial conglomerate said it had long seen climate change as a valid concern after an internal evaluation of the scientific case in 2005.

(Snip)

Observers have attributed the party’s shift since the last election to a range of factors, including the rise of the anti-regulatory Tea Party and fears about unemployment. Others suggest the change is due to fossil fuel interests using so-called super PACs – the new generation of political action committees empowered by a 2010 Supreme Court ruling allowing businesses and unions to spend much more on political campaigns than previously permitted.

The Republicans’ stance puts them at odds with politicians from many other countries, especially in Europe, home of some of the world’s most ambitious climate legislation.

Could it be that they have billions tied up in the wind business and other green initiatives that depend on the very feeble science of manmade climate change to be believed.

Have they looked at those ridiculous tree rings?

Do they wonder why none of the climate change predictive models actually predict anything?

Do they know most of the monitoring data came from urban heat sinks?

Have they attacked the proponents of the Middle Ages Warming Period on a personal level in complete Soviet fashion - just like the climate gate emails encouraged.

It is science alright - political science.

GE wants more expensive light bulbs and wind generators as well as solar. They want Nuclear but can’t get it past the public, they don’t make anything on coal plants, too simple.

Pray for America

Better yet, introduce shareholder’s resolutions for consideration at the annual meeting. We can start with an easy one: management shall use the most cost-effective methods for employee transportation.

GE Healthcare bought a huge fleet of Volts. The cabal of fascist corporations is, contrary to public perception, deeply in bed with the democrat party.

As the libs like to say, follow the money. There is no money in old fashioned light bulbs now. The chicoms can crank them out and nobody can make big profits on them. Philips got out of the light bulb business and into the $100 toaster design business. These globalists do not care at all about the environment. This is all about power and money. Power for the marxists and money for the globalists.

Socialist agenda infected corporations some time back. From subsidizing gay pride festivals and promoting “tolerance” workshops (which shifting away from office Christmas parts to “winter celebrations”) to pushing the Red “green” agenda. Also internal celebrations of the Communist founded holiday “International Women’s Day”.

Big Media certainly pushes soft socialism.

But the Left will deny corporations can advocate socialism, because they make a profit.

All animals are equal. Some are more equal than others.

That makes their "science" seven years out of date. Stuff happen in a seven year time frame. Like temperatures refusing to rise as predicted.

Thanks Jimmy Valentine's brother.
Observers have attributed the party's shift since the last election to a range of factors, including the rise of the anti-regulatory Tea Party and fears about unemployment.
This partisan shill piece also attributes the "sudden rise" of this view to the Supreme Court decision striking down restrictions on the First Amendment, which supposedly resulted in SuperPACs -- entities basically mandated by so-called campaign finance reform.

How does this non-story rise to the status of “news”?
What stimulus provoked the Financial Times to waste everyone’s time and energy on a story that feigns surprise over idiots acting like idiots?

Not to crash too hard on the Times, either, because this disease runs rampant in more Conservative media circles; writers babbling on for paragraphs at a time over the latest instance of lib acting like a lib; disparaging some Conservative ideal, or other.

“Boy! Did you HEAR what liberal tripe Pelosi spouted today?! Here’s a twelve paragraph story giving you all of the backstory, play-by-play, and commentary on her thirty-second brain fart. Please patronize our advertisers.”

“News” would be if she ever said ANYTHING right. Ditto Immelt and his corporate horde.
