What’s wrong with Eli Manning? He’s a two time Superbowl winner.

You guys are getting the Giants and the Jets confused. Mark Sanchez is the QB for the Jets, so it looks like Tebow will be his back-up.

Sanchez will no doubt be the Jets starter in September but if he falters it’s going to be Tim and Eli Time in the Big (New Jersey) Apple. If you thought the Tebow press crush was strong last year wait till the New York media takes hold.

Not a thing wrong with Eli, he’s a very fine person and a great quarterback.

It’s just that he and Tebow don’t exactly fit the Manhattan swingin’ image, if you know what I mean.

“I just lost what respect I ever had for John Elway.”

Me too. I hope they lose 90% of their games.

Elway did say some kind things about Tebow, that he wished him the best, that he would want him for a son-in-law, and that Tebow was gracious in hearing the news. Not the most gushing, I agree, but still, not entirely silent.

The chances Denver wins a Superbowl in the next 3 years is 10-1. You have an aging QB, with multiple neck surgeries on a .500 team with no defense, average receivers and a running back with two bad knees. With the money they have invested in Manning they have put themselves in a real bind. Add in the fact that Manning record in the playoffs is pretty poor 9-10. I understand Elway was looking for a way to dump Tebowmania. But this gamble will probably set the franchise back 3-5 years.

It definitely feels like an “anything to get rid of Tebow” move. If it wasn’t Manning, it would have been something else. That and a true distaste for anything associated with Josh McDaniel. Since Tebow is his legacy, I think they were trying to scrub that from history.

Then I take it back. We don't hear everything out here in Seattle; our media lost interest as soon as it became obvious we were out of the Manning sweepstakes.

I'm glad he was gracious.

Local sports radio talker is upset, said the trade today was blatantly showing they just wanted Tebow out of here, whatever the cost or loss. This is the guy that is the “voice” of the Broncos, radio announcer.

It’s quite obvious you didn’t listen to yesterday’s press conference from Dove Valley.

Oh really and you base that estimate on what?

How much of Manning's deal is guaranteed, what is the opt out clause for the Broncos and how much cap room do they still have left for this year?
