Limbaugh: "Maybe The Conservative Alternative To Romney Is Romney" (video)

Rush Limbaugh says Romney's victory speech last night was his best one yet, he just hopes he means what he said.

"Right on, right on. So maybe the conservative alternative to Romney is Romney. Let's hope so. It all boils down to whether he means this. It's that simple," Limbaugh said.

We need to keep his comment in full context.
Not easy to do in a campaign season.

got that right.

Levin is the only one who has balls enough to state the truth, Hannity has to be the biggest fraud on the conservative side, the man is pure B/S and liberal on social issues, never breaks a story and takes his points off Rush.

Rush repeats what Drudge has put up so we already know what is happening.

Why so many listen to a certain person and just go along with what they say or buy the product what that person endorses tells me we have far too many sheep which cannot think for themselves

In the early 90s I watched his television show, but slowly drifted away as I realized that although he espoused conservative views he reverted to supporting the party no matter what in the end.

Remember how he claimed to be "severely Conservative" at CPAC and it sounded ridiculous? The man is a fraud, pure and simple.

I was disgusted at his "severely" characterization because it's not an adjective that any real conservative would use. It sounds like a criticism of the beliefs he is imitating, not like a sincere position. I wasn't too thrilled about Bush's "compassionate" conservatism either, since conservatism is by its nature the most compassionate political stance, and the adjective is redundant.

No, the Prime Directive is that we never vote for socialists. We here are smarter than the average bears who can’t think beyond pulling the GOP lever.

Vote for a RINO? Maybe, depending on the circumstances. I knew Pat Toomey wasn’t a full-fledged conservative, but I voted for him anyway. But a self-described progressive who signed socialized medicine into law and wanted Obama to institute the individual mandate on a national level? Never! He IS Obama, regardless of how anyone tries to spin it.

No, Rush always “pivots” to the GOP-E candidate as the nomination draws closer.

Actually, I thought Rush was pro-Romney from the start, because Rush sallied forth to destroy Gingrich by saying that he was "anti-capitalist" for asking questions about Bain Capital (on the outer margins of capitalism) and its government connections.

Rush went to Santorum because it was clear that Mittens wasn't selling, and St Rick is exactly as big-government, GOP-E as Mittens. St Rick's total work history has been as an attorney for various organizations, sabotaging Gingrich to placate the Dems after the Contract with America was passed, a two term senator overwhelmingly rejected by his consituents, and then going back to work for the lobbyists again, in between running for president since about the same time as Romney (and even moving to various districts to do so).

I dislike Rush more and more every day. I first thought his latest wife (is she #4 or #5?) had something to do with his turn to the GOP-E side, but then I recalled that he was lousy during the last elections and spent most of his time trying to get GOPers to vote for a Dem in "Operation Chaos," which is the same model the Dems are using now to get us a RINO.

Some people have suggested that it is his deafness (and he does seem to have trouble understanding callers and often gives them bizarre answers, even though he probably uses a speech to text program) and that may be true. That's my charitable take on it.

Tea Party lady Dana Loesch called on Newt and Paul to get out today.

It is getting old and they have no chance at all.

My niece who has kids 13 and 7 begged me to please vote for the nominee because her husbands business has suffered so under Obama, and shw worries for her kids.

How can I say no? Romney ain’t my cup of tea, but Obama is far worse. I gotta get some nose plugs.

A vote for a third party or staying at home is a vote for Obama. Romney can not possibly be nearly as bad as Obama has been.

Very well said. We are getting used to the inevitability of a Romney nomination. The only thing worse than Romney would be another four years of Obama.

How about this? Obama wins and that will increase the number of conservatives in the House and Senate as has happened every election under this Marxist/democrat Obama and his dismal record on the economy. Then Scalia and Thomas hold out for 4 years . and in 2016 President Sarah Palin.

Well I can dream can't I?

No matter what Rush said, I have heard from three media sources today that he all but endorsed Romney.

If he doesn’t clarify what he said and soon, the impression left is that he joined the list of lemmings who are falling in line for Romney.

So damage control once again, El Rushbo? You betcha.

Dear Rush,

Romney is a lying scumbag who will say anything to get elected. Don’t trust him, he is a liberal.

Sincerely,

Reaganaut

You nominate your best conservative and give it a shot.
If you lose you can say you fought the good fight. You didn’t compromise your principles. Nominating another RINO in the case of Romney (but much worse than Bush or McCain), is a disaster for defeat of biblical proportions.

Get ready for four more long years of Chairman Obama. Blame the Washington establishment and no one else. Conservatives can hold their head high knowing they had nothing to do with getting Romney the nomination in the first place.

I agree, NKP.

It’s about priniciple now and I won’t compromise mine by voting for Romney. And yes, we can hold our heads high.

Obama is not honest with who it is. It says some pro America, conservative things. But of course it is lying. Look at Obama’s actions , all marxist/statist, big government actions: exploding debt by 5 trillion, banning oil drilling etc, censoring the Internet with ACTA, etc..

I say let Romney have it and we start a third party under the radar and launch it by the midterm elections. Newt and Sarah Palin are in tune to help it get started. It is our best move.

Romney is very capable of beating Obama. He has the media backing and the money to fight him. Not only that, they know what Obama is hiding and are not afraid to expose his hidden agenda. Of course Romney will double cross us, but we can hold him somewhat to the fire until we get this new party off the ground.

That alone will keep Obama on defense the whole time.
