Sen. Chuck Schumer is calling on the Justice Department to investigate so-called "Stand Your Ground" laws following the fatal shooting of an unarmed Florida teen.
The law, a version of which was enacted in Florida in 2005, allows for individuals to use deadly force -- even outside their home -- if they feel threatened.
Since the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, Republican leaders have called the killing a tragedy but argue that the law in question did not actually apply to this case.
Still, Schumer wrote in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder on Sunday that the laws themselves should be investigated.

Of course—Stand Your Ground laws adversely affect a reliable DemocRAT constituent group.

They all are attempting to murder the guy and all of us. The media deserves punishment for starting race wars. More deaths are going to result from this not less and who will really be at fault....those who used propaganda to stir the pot.

How about a federal probe on how a kid:
Caught with a screwdriver and lots of women’s jewelry in his backpack
Caught in an “unauthorized area” at school
Caught with drugs and a pipe in his backpack
Attempts an assault on a bus driver
...only gets a ten day suspension.
Two things:
1. Is it just possible that deadly force really WAS needed here>
2. If it wasn’t, so what. A single fatal accident at an intersection does not make it a dangerous intersection.

I still want to know who Schumer is on the phone with every morning at the crack of dawn 365 days of the year taking his orders from. The same orders Schumer then issues the talking points to the MSM for the day.
