DC’s ceremony was 10/10/10. That was a help for her husband to always remember the date. Didn’t want him to be a Tim Taylor the Tool Man forgeting the date.

SOUP FOR THE TROOPS

WELCOME TO THE

(where our troops, allies and their families can refresh themselves)

Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities

~ Today...Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s.
Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph.

~ Tonight...Mostly clear. Lows around 40.
Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph...
Becoming south after midnight.

Looks like Mother Nature finally remembered it is spring and dropped temps to the 60s.

Making Z Zoup
A pinch of this...a dash of that...

Bill Gates formed a company to sell a
computerized traffic counting system to cities,
which made $20,000 its first year.
Business dropped sharply when customers learned
Gates was only 14 years old.

The opposite of a "vacuum" is a "plenum.

Energy experts say that ceiling fans
consume as little energy as a 60-watt bulb,
which is about 98 percent less energy than most
central air conditioners use.

Born Leroy Robert Paige, Satchel Paige was a legend
in the Negro Leagues for 29 years.
Many of his records in the Negro League
were never recorded.
On his 42nd birthday in 1948,
he was sold by the Kansas City Monarchs
to the Cleveland Indians.
Its owner Bill Veeck signed the old pitcher to a major league contract.
Two days later, Paige became the oldest rookie ever
in the major leagues of baseball
when he made his first appearance late in a game.
That night, he also became the first black
to ever pitch in the American League,
and the fifth overall to play in the major leagues.
As the majors' oldest rookie ever,
Paige had a 6-1 record, mostly in relief,
as Cleveland won the 1948 pennant.
He also pitched for the St. Louis Browns,
and pitched three innings for the Kansas City Athletics in 1965
at the age of 59.

Gotta run an errand but will be right back. Then...

I'll make my rounds.
But, you stay right where you are.
Keep the troops entertained and the Canteen clean...
Cause...if you don't...I'll tell Ma!

Come in and sit for a while.

There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

PLEASE REMEMBER THEM ....
