I wonder if those calling for Zimmerman's head realize they might actually be screwing up a prosecution by tainting the jury pool and making a prosecutor reluctant to go to trial due to not wanting to appear to be bowing to biased public pressure.

That almost has to be a lie. If he was guilty of violence against his girl friend he could not get a license to carry.
That simply has to be a lie. If he was even charged with that he would have to have been found not guilty to even purchase a gun much less pass muster for a concealed permit.

It was mutual. Both got no-contact orders. It'd be interesting to peek behind the scenes there to try to figure out which of the two started it.
Plus, DV really is not a good indicator of propensity to violence against strangers. "Things" happen at home, there is time for emotions to boil, tempers to flare, and where you gonna go when the skillets start flying?

We're defending the rule of law against the pitchfork mob. The minute someone posts any single Florida law broken by Zimmerman, along with evidence released to the public by police, that substantiates probable cause, then I will no longer call for Zimmerman to remain free.
That's secondary. The mission is agitate, not justice.

Happens often. The reason being that DAs go to law school, and are trained to compare the facts of the case to the law whereas policemen are not.

Saw video of Zimmerman getting out of the auto in police custody. He didn’t look bloodied, back of head looked clean and unremarkable.
It was a domestic violence case where both he and his ex petitioned the court for restraining orders.
The case ended in a ‘null’ because both petitions were granted.
