As a former juror, Mr. Prosecutor, good luck getting a conviction. My fellow jurors and I stuffed the prosecutor on a ginned up PC case like this right after the city bought us lunch. Didn't even get to eat my french fries.
What we know about that is he tossed some woman at a party. When you are hired to be party security, you're supposed to let some things happen, without asserting force. I think he was too "law and order" to understand the bouncer scene.

Do you know when Travon’s dad changed his mind about telling detectives that it wasn’t his son screaming? Or was that a false report or something? I gather that the family now thinks it is him. Has the father talked about it anywhere? I haven’t been following the story very closely.

It's a federal offense to posses a firearm, while under a DV restraining order that contains certain elements. Zimmerman was under such an order, which he satisfied, and has since expired.
There are tactics that are used by losers, including a couple trolls on this thread. One, is “appeal to paranoid schizophrenic conspiracy theory advocates”. I’m surprised no witnesses have come forward claiming to have seen Harvey Keitel at the scene with a couple bars of soap and a garden hose. Anyone here believe the entire chain of command of Florida’s law enforcement was mobilized in the minutes after the incident? Good. Another tactic is “appeal to ‘oh not this shit again’”. They hammer on ridiculous things that have been resolved, or are just plain stupid. For God’s sake, George Zimmerman was on the bottom, he was screaming, his nose was bleeding, the back of his head was cut up. It’s not debatable. There are photographs, sworn documents, and believable eyewitnesses.
Talk amongst yourselves, edify each other. DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.

Zimmerman was taking a beating for 30-60 seconds or so. Did not go for his gun, yelled for help. While shifting his body so his head would be smashed into grass, instead of into the sidewalk, his shirt pulled up and his firearm became visible. At that point, says Zimmerman, Trayvon issued his death threat, "You're gonna die tonight." Trayvon was attempting to disarm Zimmerman so he could shoot Zimmerman. Probably both of them had hands on the pistol. If Trayvon pulls the gun toward himself, he very well could have "pulled the trigger" by his action. IOW, it may be that Zimmerman did not intend the firearm to discharge.
We don't know what he said under questioning, or why one of the investigators didn't believe the story. We don't have that affidavit to get a handle on the counter-argument.

Is there a reliable source that a particular investigator didn't believe Zimmerman's story, or is this based on the fact that the police report was merely titled "manslaughter"?
Media all say TM was shot in the chest so how does this tie with your saying he was face down when shot ?

There a Serino or Seriano, or something like that affidavit, that disagrees with the decision to not at least hold, and maybe to charge Zimmerman. This is separate from the "what pigeonhole is this investigation in" entry on the initial investigation forms.
Some of our fellow Freepers that are better acquainted with the Kel-Tek have pointed out that exact scenario would explain the lack of a chambered round.

I believe she is referring to a witness that claims Zimmerman was standing over Martin AFTER the shooting, but in her mind (largely influenced by rantings on hard left websites) it has morphed into a witness saying Zimmerman shot Martin in the back (contrary to other witnesses, physical evidence and Zimmerman’s statement).
