(WTNH) — Connecticut’s state police union is angry over a memo, obtained by News 8, that encourages troopers in the Bethany barracks going on a ticketing spree Friday to beat other barracks and win pizza.
The email, from Lt. Anthony Schirillo, challenges troopers to write 350 tickets or more during a 24 hour window starting at 12:01 a.m. Friday. The shift with the most tickets gets pizza, another message said.

Had a similar situation in VA years ago and the judges threw out ever single ticket written that day.
Every single ticket can be challenged in court and likely to be tossed out. The cops involved in this? They will be forever known as the “pizza patrol” and most of them will find jobs elsewhere within two years.

Wish I had known this....got a speeding ticket a few years ago in VA and would have fought it. :(
These police departments wonder why no one respects them any more.
Here the SP union won a fight as to staffing quotas; we’re about to get red light cameras rammed don our throats. At every turn the LIEberals are using ways to increase our taxes to pay for bloated state budgets.
State Troopers = Glorified tax collectors.

These prima donnas have full private use of their cruisers at tax payer expense. {no property taxes on vehicle, maintenance, fuel]; they pad their retirement by taking overtime to inflate their 3-year average for lifetime of pensions. Making $70K in pay *plus* $100.K in overtime is nice little package.
I call them janitors. They do nothing to prevent crime...just take from the joe-six-packs of this state.
I doubt it. Cops hold their employers in contempt. On Friday I almost rear ended one of our local heros who couldn’t make up his mind on whether or not to go after a lady in a mini van who turned left in front of him without a green arrow. So our hero had to slow down as this lady made a mental error. Not the end of World.
So our local hero speeds up, slows down. Speeds up, lurched left then right. Comes to a stop in the middle of the intersection. His nose though is beyond the intersection. This is where I damn near rear ended this idiot, when he finally comes to a stop. So he then “lights it up” makes an awkward right turn to hit the lady in the mini van with a big fine. But he was far more a menace on the road than the lady in the mini van. Cops:. Idiotic judgmental fools with small peckers No situation that they cannot make worse. Oh, all you idiot cops pulling people over at rush hour for stupid stuff, and backing up traffic for miles:. You suck! I have no idea why my neighbors insist on funding and empowering this shameless protection racket. Cops are arrogant takers who produce NOTHING!

Troopers must get busy and start the ball rolling for the good of the entire industry.
