Just saw Romney's acceptance speech. Just when you though America couldn't get in the stuff any deeper.

How utterly sad that this is the best we can come up with.

Sarah Palin would have run(At least I think she would have) if the establishment wouldn’t have made it virtually impossible for her to win. They would have thrown everything and the kitchen sink at her had she run. She even said herself that the establishment wouldn’t have let her in, and as long as the RINO establishment exists this is the garbage we have to deal with

As much as I loathe Romney(Oh and trust me I loathe the guy) I will never ever ever ever vote for Obama, I won’t vote for someone who wants to turn the country that I love into Greece. I won’t live in Greece, I just won’t do it. I keep on being asked by people “Will I vote for Romney?” and I just keep on saying “What am I supposed to do” I just don’t know what else to do, if this is who the GOP decides is the nominee what more can I do, sit home? Vote 3rd party” Either option is ensuring an Obama win and I just can’t do it

Exactly Sarah, its anybody but obama for me, if its Mitt, I will back him 100% His speech tonight was very good.
From all the Eeyore attitudes here it looks like many will be sitting it out since they cant support Romney, as you mentioned, that is the same as voting for Obama. Time to come to grips or at least find a way to try.

My original choice was Sarah Palin of course, but she’s not running, so my second choice was Newt, for whatever reason the GOP just isn’t voting for him. He is a guy I could get behind 100 percent. With Romney, he is a slick oil’s salesman, phony to the core, but if this is what the establishment wants, what more can I do? I live in California, far left looney bin, this state goes to Obama no matter what, but I still go out and vote. I could never sit at home, even if it means voting for a guy that I hate, I will do it, because having Obama for another 4 years, is something that we cannot allow to happen. How Obama has attacked our Supreme Court these last two days, this is what he wants to do to our country, destroy it bit by bit, no way in hell do I stay home, sit back, and allow that POS to win

It is an amazing descent. Two/three years ago, with the combined advent of Palin and the whole Tea Party movement, it was the first time since the 1980s and the era of Reagan that I really had a glimmer of optimism about the country’s future. Talk about dashed to hell!

The blame goes to Santorum and Santorum bots. As long as Herman Cain and even Michele Bachmann were in the race, the message was about the economy and it seemed like Herman Cain could beat Obama. It caused panic in the Establishment.

Then the idiot Rick Santorum of the Karl Rove establishment who is a fiscal socialist and who is absolutely clueless about economics changed the course of the debate to issues like condoms, homosexuality and abortion. I guess that is his comfort zone, but it has damaged the TEA Party.

Santorum had the support of Mark Levin to shepherd some unthinking sheep his way. They must take the blame for the sad state of affairs.

Mitt Romney Exposed On Rush Limbaugh Show (May 4, 2011)

Regular caller Dan I Balyeat warns El Rushbo that Mitt Romney’s left-of-center record as Massachusetts governor is unacceptable to most conservative voters. Note: This call took place in 2008 but Balyeat was apparently ahead of his time.

I have had it with Free Republic. what a bunch of whiners. Romney is a good man, understands how the economy works and will get us on the right course. Santorum is a whining punk. Palin’s time has passed and we should all be supporting Romney.

Good Lord, you pick on his religion, his wealth, what else.? Whiners!!!

Romney is not a good man and will not “get us on the right course”. He will lose. He is a leftist, not conservative, appointed leftist judges, pushed fag “marriage” on MA, promised perverts he’d support their causes, etc etc.

So many people would refuse to vote for him he would lose. He’s even worse than McCain.

~ ~ ~

Heaven does, this is what the messages say if we pray and
offer a sacrifice or a suffering for Santorum, a man of faith, can you believe it, an actual Christian.

God asks for prayer, changing hearts is a tough, free will you know.

It’s not over, something coming to “light” will change the
race.

Romney DOES NOT understand economy.

Despite you, and the RomneyBOTS, false statements,Romney is a proven LOSER.

Here are the facts from CATO.

MITT ROMNEY - THE PROVEN BAD GOVERNOR

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

Republican Candidates could improve their Primary vote count by campaigning with the following idea:

Due to the FHA, Fannie and Freddie Bankruptcies of September, 2008, American home owners lost 30 % of the value of their homes. That is a 30 % cut in just one month. Home values are still down 30 %.

Thus, let us cut the total compensation to all elected Federal politicians, and their staffs by 30 %, and an additional 10 % cut to elected Federal politicians each year until Federal Spending is LESS THAN the average of the previous 2 years of Federal income.

BTW, since slightly less than half of the US House, and 2/3 of the US Senate are Millionaires, it will be a great opportunity for Congress to lead by example that EVERYONE should give up their “fair” share of the American Dream.

What better way can there be to demonstrate that Federal politicians are on the same page as the voters?
