AF Human Relations online training just pissed me off
self | 5Apr12 | jagusafr (vanity)

Posted on 04/05/2012 6:29:42 AM PDT by jagusafr

Just finished my annual online "Human Relations" training and had to come to FR to vent. Guess what the first example listed of "workplace violence" was? Right: Maj Hasan at Ft Hood. These people have the unmitigated call to lump this traitorous murdering coward in with incidents that involve love triangles and disgruntled employees. I wish I thought anybody with any clout would care about my outrage, but they'd probably want to start keeping an eye on ME...

Argh. It's getting closer and closer to time to retire.

HR is never your friend in the business world. Appears that maxim is the same in the military.

Did they just use him as an example of workplace violence without any other information? His case could be a spectacular example for how HR and everyone else didn't pay attention to warning signs, sirens and flashing red danger lights. On the other hand the typical HR department (and the federal government doubly so) would warn you against discriminating against someone just because they had business cards listing him as a "soldier of Islam".

It's all about putting a softer spin on terrorism. As you know, the PC crowd has eliminated 'War on Terror' from our vocabulary.

And 9/11? That was a man-caused disaster.

Terrorism Is a 'Man-Caused' Disaster?

Don’t know about the military, but we’ve pretty much figured out that HR is the Govt camel nose under the tent.

We just filled out our “command climate” surveys here at Fort Carson. When it asked if you’ve “ever experienced discrimination” in your current unit I responded “YES” and told how I felt discriminated against through the exclusion of an observance for my race (white). I’ve complained about this before but nothing ever came of it except for my being “looked into” by the command.

Its just “work place violence” in maj Hasan’s case because he is a “believer” like the resident of the White Hut!

I am SOOO glad I retired when I did. Entered the AF in 1976 and retired in 2004. I don’t even recommend patriotic young people to join anymore.

I'm surprised Hasan was somehow classified as a "victim."

Since the trial has yet to occur, is it legally appropriate to use that case as an example? After all, he's not guilty until the court renders verdict (except that he's guilty as sin in the real world). Just saying...

It might be time to leave it to the younger XBox generation.

My Husband knew it was time to retire when they announced that women would be allowed on submarines, the smoking lamp was going out on submarines and gays could be more gay on submarines.

He retired last August after 27 years. It wasn’t his Navy anymore. And he’s a little pissed about that.

This started in the early 70s with Race relations then race relations 2 telling us how evil the white guy is. This started PC and affirmative action to kill whiteys promotion chances.

Corporations, like most large institutions, are annexes of the govt.
